There's two more big Super Famicom videos coming next month. After that I'll finally get to Michael Jordan Chaos in the Windy City, haha

You had me at Michael Jordan Chaos in the Windy City.

I really need to give Hagane another whirl, since Shinobi 3 is one of my favorite games ever and it's basically Shinobi SNES.

Fun fact, Keita Amemiya did a lot of art design for the game. He is the creator of Iria, Garo, etc. He also did some monster designs for the SaGa series from time to time I believe. Too bad he didn't do more in games. Love his style.

Didn't he create the cover for Rudra no Hihou?

Yes, Keita Amemiya did that art for Rudra no Hihō. As well as other art for the game such as primary character designs. His most recent vidja work was on Shin Megami Tensei IV creature designs.

The second season of Garo is truly something to behold. The production was phenomenal and it really felt like Amemiya's magnum opus, something he definitely had a huge hand in with the props, setting, camerawork, etc (seems he's barely involved with any of the new seasons). The first season kind of had some Resident Evil vibes to me with its dark alleys and urban environments, but the second season goes full on fantasy. The whole thing felt like a live action Devil May Cry in amazing ways, videogamey too but in a good way.

Rudra no Hihou also happens to be a really good RPG. :)

That's on my list of SFC RPGs to snag. I was looking yesterday, and I need to decide how much I'm willing to shell out for it, just to say I own it. :P

I'm (slowly) trying to obtain all the "essential" Super Famicom RPGs. Rudra no Hihō is certainly one of them.

I'm definitely going for a similar goal but more so tracking down SFC games we didn't get that are good. Or better yet, all games that can be played between Retron5, retrode, or emulator with cd player attached and patch files(with the latter two getting some form of adapter to use original controllers or another ps3 controller for this) for games we didn't get that are good. It may be expanded to expensive games if they can be gotten cheaply on the foreign counterparts too with patch...

Definitely looks interesting, but on the subject of Hagane. Just checked ebay and intermingled with the crap that's overpriced there's a couple between the 27-33 range ^_^ I think people are finally wising up to what that game should really cost.
