It's also implying that video games about sports are remotely similar to actually playing those sports. They're not.

Playing some sports is significantly more expensive than the video game version too. Some things like basketball you can manage with 2 people, a ball, and an improvised hoop. Golf you're going to need to buy or rent clubs and have a course you can go to or an open area you can dig holes in. Many other sports need more than 1 or 2 people to be more enjoyable as well as equipment that may be harder to improvise.

People should get out more, but yeah, sports games being a vague imitation of actually playing said sport is often more convenient.

Wow, you guys were not kidding about the addictive properties of Virtua Tennis. While waiting for some food to heat up in the microwave for 8 minutes, I figured I'd finally get the DC hooked up to my monitor. (Had to wait to get a Dual RCA Female to 3.5mm adapter for sound.)

This was at 2:00 PM. I put in VT for testing purposes. I just now, at 3:20, stopped playing and pulled the food out of the microwave.

I may play some VT tonight. Theres a local independent dollar store here that i love for all kinds of jacks, rca's, spliters, fuses and the like. Much better paying a $1.29 here than 7.99 at Radio Shack.
Curtsy when you walk by that Dreamcast

Yessir! here in SoCal, hardware Dreamcast has finally started going up in value after about 3 years of staying the same price. Peripherals have gone up. Especially games.

The Dreamcast is going on 15 years, which means it's getting out of the stable phase. The games are definitely going to trend upwards now. From what I've seen, there are already some games that have exploded in price.
