Re: RPG Progress Report
I thought Eternal Sonata was terrible. If you want a unique blend of styles in a combat system, play The Last Story. (Or FFXIII, which blows Sonata out of the water in every way
)
Re: RPG Progress Report
Not quite as easy as that in the PS3 version. Viola is still pretty awesome, but she's not godmode.ZenErik wrote:Eternal Sonata.. Heh. Stand as far away as possible with the archer and kill every boss in a few hits. It was alright.

Its okay man. Someday a game as great as The 7th Saga will be released and we can all rejoice.

Re: RPG Progress Report
I played a little more Live-A-Live last night and am looking forward to the ending. I have beaten the final dungeons for Cube, the Kung Fu disciple, Masaru, Pogo, and Sunset. I'm currently working on Akira and still need to recruit Oboro for his dungeon. I have three of the five Ariel armor pieces. I may be able to knock this one out this weekend!
Now the question becomes what game do I play next? Do I go back to Secret of the Stars, or try to tackle something like Illusion of Gaia, Breath of Fire 2, or Drakkhen? Ah, such a wonderful problem to have. Currently I own 9 SNES/SFC RPGs that I have yet to beat(not including Live A Live)...I look forward to chipping away at that.

Re: RPG Progress Report
Question: How playable is Black/Matrix to a non-Japanese speaker. I mean, I gather that I will not be able to follow the story. But as far as just playing the battles and all... would I be able to get through it or would the menus be too much?

Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma trilogy?Ack wrote: Now the question becomes what game do I play next? I plan to do this eventually but I still need Soul Blazer and Terranigma (well I'd end up getting Tenchi Sōzō).
Re: RPG Progress Report
Yeah, I also need Soul Blazer and would have to track down a copy of Terranigma to do this, so I'll likely just hold off. I'm not acquiring any physical games right now, as I don't want more things to take up space that I will have to move later.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma trilogy?Ack wrote: Now the question becomes what game do I play next?
