I normally loathe the retail chain Game Trader - over-priced and under-cared for stuff. I'm killing time in one today and see they have a handful of Saturn games (cases were as one would expect in a used game shop).
To my surprise, there was 3D Baseball - a Crystal Dynamics title that is one of the rarest sports games on the Saturn (Daytona Netlink is the winner). Their Saturn sports games were a generic $6.99 each.
This guy typically goes for $25-$30 online ($25 at VGPC and mine is complete and in nice shape) so a nice add to the collection.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I was looking for some GBA games for my brother on Craigslist, found this instead.

SLG 3000 scanlines generator $35
Thought I could use it with my SuperGun, this was so worth picking up.

What this does is that it adds a black line to every odd or even line of the monitor (LCD,LED,Plasma), that way it gives a 240P CRT look.

Those look like legit scanlines.Captainvans wrote:I was looking for some GBA games for my brother on Craigslist, found this instead.

May have to find one of these for my HDCRT!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
A co-worker told me she had some "video game stuff" she wanted to get rid of, and was just going to give it to me. After meeting up with her husband and looking at what they were giving away, I insisted on giving them some payment, and he reluctantly accepted $40. He thought I was being generous, you tell me.
1 six switch woody Atari 2600, beat up original box, 2 Wico joysticks, 1 paddle, about 20 common games
1 Fat PS2 with 2 1st party memory cards, DVD remote
1 chipped PS1 with 3 memory cards, 2 generic 1 Sony
1 Blue GBA SP with charger
2 portable DVD players with 8.5 inch screens, hardly used, all cords, and they allow input in, so can be used for gaming or hacking.
The 2600 was filthy, but after a good cleaning works along with everything else!

Put the UPC or catalog code into google and you'll find it for sure. That's a heck of a pile of cool stuff. Looks like you guys had a badass road trip.wclem wrote:can anyone tell me what game the Famicom is?? It's in Japanese...I have NO idea!

Nice snag on the Zoda. The copy I got a few years ago was similar. Complete but listed as 'slightly water damaged' so it was cheap. Turned out the box was a little wavy, but everything inside was minty and complete with all of the ad cards and the plastic baggie for the cart.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
A few of my finds from the last month:
Found a 36" Sony Trinitron KV-36FV300 CRT TV at my local Goodwill. This thing is absolutely massive, the spoiler pic below doesn't really do it justice. I had been looking for one of these for quite awhile since I saw a few members on here that have them. Definitely worth the 70 bucks I paid for it IMO. Older consoles look awesome on this thing ^_^.
Last weekend, I went to a few garage sales and snagged this:
(Mostly) CIB Dreamcast with 2 Controllers, 4 VMU's, and Jump Pack. All for 20 bucks
. Dreamcast is slightly yellowy, but the controllers are in awesome shape as are the VMU's.
Later on that same weekend I snagged these from a local flea market:
Midnight Magic - 1.00
Kaboom - 1.00
Perfect Dark - 1.00
Trojan - 2.50
Star Tropics - 2.50
Alpha Mission - 3.00
Donkey Kong Land 2 - 5.00
Diddy Kong Racing - 6.00
GB Pocket - 7.00
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - 12.00
The copy of Midnight Magic is shrink wrapped but sadly it has a slash mark on the back that I can only assume is from a box cutter. I thought it was pretty awesome to find a boxed 2600 game in the wild at any rate
