Yes. Comedy is comedy. Even if it's unintentional, it counts (although I haven't seen Crank, it did look remarkably silly, so I'll take your word for it).
Quoted for clarification. All I meant was that, based on the previews, Crank looks like one of the silliest, most ridiculous movies ever and if I ever saw it, I would expect it to be unintentionally funny (not that that's a bad thing). Elmagico's post suggests that that's the case, so I really don't see the problem here.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

And now, I am astonished.

What is to clarify? You are the "I hate critics" the "Don't trust reviewers" the "Don't judge by a trailer" and "Never rate a movie you haven't watched" guy, yet you classify a movie you haven't watched to a specific genre.

Do you have any clue how stupid "I haven't seen X, but yeah, I'd say X is a comedy" sounds? Good Lord man, MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS had plenty of jokes, but it isn't a comedy. I'm hard pressed to think of any book, tv show, or movie that doesn't contain some hilarity to it, and that doesn't make them a comedy. Hell, PLATOON has it's funny moments.

I do not doubt that you may one day make a great film, but I seriously doubt your ability to judge movies is sound. Both as an art and as a business your opinions come off as sophomoric.

And yup, this is me lighting a fire up your ass to look at films more objectively. If you wish, continue to judge films by "I lowered my standards and it made me smile twice", fine by me. But if you want to actually want to look at films for what they are, make them better, and make them profitable, my ears are wide open.

Crank is horrible.

There is only one Crank, right? The one w/Statham, yeah? As an avowed man-crusher on Statham, this is by far the worst script he signed on for. It was miserable in every sense - i'm sure some may have like the fast/dizzying camera angles and whatnot, but I just got dizzy and annoyed, which accompanied my boredom well.

If we're talking a different movie ...ignore me.

My wife and I watched Gran Torino and Django Unchained last week. Really enjoyed them both. I doubt i'd watch Gran Torino again, but it had me tear up a couple times, and chuckle outloud more than once.

Django, like it a lot, not sure where it rates right now on the QT list. Inglorious Basterds is #1 w/a bullet, then there are about a half dozen that I really really enjoy and depending on the day, any one of them can be top 20 all time for me.

Will be watching Inception tonight.

We try to catch up on the movies from about 18 months ago in one fell swoop.

My wife and I have never been to a theater. Just not our thing, thought I do enjoy going w/the kids now that they are that age where it's something they want to try.

I watched This Is The End last night. I have no ass, I laughed it off.
This is the End is probably the best movie I've seen in the theater this year.
It was alright... Seemed like a lot of the same jokes from that crew. The rampant product placement and advertising was annoying. I enjoyed it, but I dont think it was as good as the reception has made it out to be.

It's all relative. It isn't a great comedy against the history of the genre, but it is a good comedy which, in 2013, I'll take. I'd probably give it 3.5 or 4 out of 5, which is a real rarity for the genre these days.
