If only the billionaire who is financing "IN THE ARMY NOW 2" (dead serious) had your zeal.

The idea has been pitched to Universal and Paramount countless times in the past few years with not a yes in the crowd. Maybe in a decade or two we'll see a new Mario Movie, but methinks the one we got is the only one we'll have.

You could always go the Scorsese route and have Mario and Luigi cleaning up the Mafia with wrenches and pipes.

James Gandolfini would make an excellent Bowser, goombas could be goomahs, and koopa troopers could just be "troopers". I would also have a sudden fear of the Hammer Bros.

Peach I honestly don't know who to cast. They don't have to act well, just be pretty, offer cake, and scream a LOT.
