It's never been a competition, but I don't think I have the time to match his current stride.

I think we're tied, but I expect you to inch ahead soon. Summer is RPG season for me. I'd like to replay a few classics this year like Phantasy Star, Dragon Warrior, Shining in the Darkness, and a few others. This will grind my list down to a halt. I may attempt Eye of the Beholder as well.

dsheinem wrote:FWIW, I think about 20 of his are arcade games that he admitedly just credit-fed through, so you could probably knock those out in a weekend following the same process if you wanted to "catch up".

Not quite. With the exception of notorious quarter-munchers like the Midway shooters, Metal Slug games, and Magician Lord everything else was played/replayed until I could finish it on a dollar or two.

ExedExes wrote:FF2 however, still not down with the "stop hurting yourself" mechanic to get levels.

While it's still an effective way to level up the game has been rebalanced so you don't need to do this. You are given HP increases at regular intervals.

Ys I & II will appear on this list again...

prfsnl_gmr wrote:I really liked the GBA port of FFII, but FFIII is far superior to any version of its predecessor. You need to play it ASAP!

I'll get to it soon! It's been in my DS the entire time I was playing I & II. When I needed a break from I & II I'd fire up III and play with the previous owner's save file. Looks like a quality port.

I'll probably (hopefully?) finish a few Summer Challenge games and then switch to EotB for awhile. It's already sitting in my SNES.

It's actually the next game on my list that I will make a major push in. Like I said, I just want to beat Daikatana first. But hopefully next week I'll be starting it up.

$2 = 8 credits = credit-feeding, at least to me. That's fine, I usually have a few games like that on my list too, and I have no problem with that. I was just explaining to Luke that, if he adopts that strategy for a string of games, he could catch up a bit since he brought it up.

I downloaded it during the "glitch" - but I think they since have enabled it again, right?

No, I don't see it in the Vita store.

Every time I hear "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder" makes me think of my own quote (someone probably said it before me though) "Beauty is in the eye if the butt holder" which isn't as funny as Marx's "You're only old as the Woman you feel".
