I can't stop hearing that laugh in my head now though.

Oh thank fuck, I was afraid that I was going to have to fuck with Psionic Training and increasing the ranks of my soldiers for more Time Units. I'm frustrated that I wasted a ton of time trying to get more Captains and Colonels, but I'm more relieved.
Also, be forewarned that the last level is a two part mission and failure is a game over.
Good thing I'm a master at save scumming.
Anyway, I beat a bit ago finally. That's a strategy biggie that I've been meaning to complete for years now. Though not as long as StarCraft. I'm planning to post about it and Sam & Max Hit the Road tomorrow in the Games Beaten Thread.
Congrats!
Psionic training is a hilarious game breaker. It's not really needed, so much as a way to utterly break the game in half. By contrast it's much more necessary in Terror from the Deep, as that game has some incredibly nasty enemies that you don't want to try and fight in a straight fight.

Yeah, in the second part of the final mission of X-COM I separated my soldiers into two groups.
Group 1: Scouts Group 2: The two guys with blaster launchers
Once I found the control room with someone from group 1 I used group 2 to blow it sky high.
I've never actually touched Psionics in the original X-COM; it usually comes late enough that I never bothered to research it and train my troops and it's not really necessary. Molecular Control in TFTD is another story, as you can reliably get it earlier and the game is much more evil (flying Chryssalids on non-terror missions).

If only they could retain the Thief license as well.
But seriously, that came out of nowhere. I hope this is just the beginning of Looking Glass' rebirth.
Dammit, do a bare bones translation and put it on the English PSN please.
I love the original so much I own it twice, both the US and JP releases. I was really holding out hope that we'd see a PC release but that's probably just a dream.
