Sorry man, not happening. At least not now. Had to wait a long time for the game to arrive and if I start now there's no way I'd finish in time. It would cut into the time for TR game #2 and then I'd end up chronically behind.

Thankfully I have beaten the game before (via emulation) so I am well aware of its epicness. 8)

Ugh my first hour of Rayearth (Saturn) went down the tubes when the game froze during a cutscene.

I woke up early this morning to replay the game up to that point. Things are fine now.

When the game froze I had a Action Replay in the cart slot. Have these been known to cause issues from time to time?

Anyway, insanely fun game. noise - you would probably like this.

Oh no I just dropped a double-post, didn't I?

Damn you for double posting and ruining our thread, Bone!

I too first played the SFC Magic Knights Rayearth while in high school, but I'd been trying out patched emulators since middle school by that point, so I was fully aware of what I was doing and just how much we had missed out on. There are certain games that a lot of folks know about and wish were brought over, like Star Ocean, Tales of Phantasia, Seiken Densetsu III, and Bahamut Lagoon. MKR is much more shallow and easy, but it is a novelty that I wish had been brought over if only to be a better intro-level RPG than something like Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Anyway, on to my progress in Live-A-Live. I have done the "impossible" by successfully returning to an RPG six months after putting it down, and I have now finished Oersted's mission and moved on to the final selection. Technically I've beaten the game twice now, as I first picked Oersted's final section and got both of his endings. But I reloaded my save from the character selection screen and have picked the Sunset Kid for my main character because he's such a pain in the butt to get otherwise. Sunset is the definition of a glass cannon: he's horrendously frail and has the worst HP and defense of my current party, despite being a higher level then several others. But he has the best range, has a consistent speed, and does excellent damage(and I believe his level 16 ability does max damage consistently, so I need to pump him up a few more levels).

My current party consists of Sunset, Pogo, Masaru, and Akira. Sunset I have to keep, and Pogo is a great tank, but Masaru and Akira are only along for a brief ride while I build them up enough to take on their character dungeons. Masaru will likely be kicked out of the party first in favor of Li, as I've already obtained his ultimate weapon and am cleaning out treasure chests in his dungeon. Eventually Akira will be replaced with Cube so I have a better healer.

I believe there is a chain of potential endings in this game, and I'm trying to see them all. Here's what I know of so far:
Character Selection:

Pick Oersted
Win every statue fight(first ending)
Lose a statue fight and select Armageddon(second ending)

Pick anyone else
Do not have every character join your party
Beat Odio, say Yes(third ending)
Beat Odio, say No(fourth ending)

Have every character join your party
Beat Odio, say Yes(fifth ending)
Beat Odio, say No(sixth ending)
I think there are only six endings in the game...at least, I hope so. There may be fewer, as I am unsure if selecting No after defeating Odio is affected by how many party members I had join. I guess I will find out.

I've watched some videos of it before (Retrocore probably). It does look really good. But it's expensive enough that it gets pushed down priority-wise. There's enough cheaper games that I feel like I need to play first.

I think he means Together RPG, which begins its second game March 11.

Playing FFXIV, of course. Only thing I haven't cleared still is turn 5 in coil.

Cleared Titan XM a few more times yesterday. I have 3 XM Primal weapons now (ilvl90). Holy Lance, Hellish Claws, and Dual Haken. Will go for another this week.

DRG: ilvl86, BRD: ilvl83, MNK: lvl38, MRD: lvl26.

Still working on getting my MNK to lvl50. When it gets there it should be AT LEAST ilvl80 or greater. :)

Yeah that's what I meant. I'm a noob.

I need to get Live A Live sometime. I've played it via emulation. Very cool game.

I'd like to point out that noise knew exactly what you meant and was poking at you.

I was going to do some Phantasy Star II, but first I wanted to get my Surface going with some maps since I'm at Climatrol. But it needed charging, so I decided to do some Legend of Dragoon in the meantime. And now I can't decide which game I want to focus on.
