I think you just have to keep at it. Your hand will get better. I'm a righty but I played Super Mario 64 DS using the stylus in my left hand and it was awkward at first but after a couple of days, I was proficient at it and after a few more days, it was natural for me.

Main page CNN article on Nintendo's problems. The author makes the argument that Nintendo is 1 for its last 4 in consoles because of stubborn thinking. Fair? Frank? Full of shit? Thoughts? It is interesting to see this story/view in mainstream news media...

Here's something to muse: maybe Nintendo ISN'T trying to be number one. They're trying to make something that is engaging and can consistently turn a profit, and they're fine with being a more "niche" product. In financial terms Nintendo is a successful company, but in terms of how many people view them they're always seen as a "runner up" since the CD generation started. But I think they aren't even participating in the race. They're happy to do their thing.

I've read the article thrice, and nowhere does it say that it is 1 for 4. Where are you seeing this?

he/she doesn't say "1 for 4" but that is inferred here:
Since the days of the Nintendo 64, it's always been pretty easy to see when, where and why Nintendo was going to stumble as a company. And more often than not, it was because of their own stubborn thinking. The buildup of their past oversights has added up and left them lagging far behind their peers in present times.

Yeah but they really are not doing so well. The only reason they were profitable this year, was due to the weakening Yen making their sales abroad have higher value. If it wasn't for that they'd be in trouble. The 3DS is doing well, but 0.5-1 million Wii Us sold worldwide in 5 months is just abysmal :(

starting to dislike Nintendo..

Seriously they could of released more vc games considering there are barely any games on the WiiU.

And they (Nintend0) wonders why the WiiU sales is crap.

They're doing a great job with the 3DS. Things will pick up on the Wii U eventually. Just not as quickly as everyone would like.

I'd argue that although they weren't #1 with the N64, they didn't do that badly. In fact, in the US, N64s sold as well as the Genesis did, and GameCube sales were just a couple million shy of Xbox sales. With the Wii, they utterly crushed the 360 and the PS3, and they have the first new console out the door, which means they'll be having good games while the 360 and PS3 are launching to a few of yesteryear's titles and maybe a new Halo/Naughty Dog title.

The author is at best ill-informed.

Did they REALLY crush the 360 and PS3? They did at first. But when all sales are said and done I won't be surprised if they don't finish more than 10 million ahead of each. Which would still be a lot... if anyone used their Wii. I would bet that a lot more 360s and PS3s actually get used. At least in the US. Cannot speak for elsewhere. That is not to say that the Wii is not a very good console. :)
