If only more developers were sleep deprived, maybe then we could get some good games!
(OK, I know a few developers, and I know they really are sleep deprived when they're approaching deadlines. Still... They should be sleep deprived when they come up with ideas if they are as good as dunpeal's!)

It also made for a fun encounter on The Immortal (NES)o.pwuaioc wrote:If only more developers were sleep deprived, maybe then we could get some good games!

I fucking love that game. It's so ridiculously brutal. I prefer the Genesis version though.ExedExes wrote:The Immortal
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So I'm playing Uncharted (and doing much better now that I know what I'm playing) and it's chapter 13. A scene has just played and I'm now shooting down at a bunch of guys in a library. One of them throws a grenade at me. I move to avoid it and, with at least two guys still down there shooting at me, the game goes and jumps ahead to the next scene.
Was I taking too long to complete that particular objective there, game

Our game will be cinematic whether you like it or not, dammit!Michi wrote:So I'm playing Uncharted (and doing much better now that I know what I'm playing) and it's chapter 13. I fired up MSX Metal Gear 2 right after finishing the original, and man am I impressed. Everything about it is lightyears ahead of MSX Metal Gear 1.

Indeed. Metal Gear is a prototype at best compared to MG2 which is awesome. Haven't gotten very far yet, I think I might print a guide to lend me a hand.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I was just playing Final Fantasy VI (relatively early in the game), and in one random encounter, out of nowhere, Locke did an attack that nearly did 10x as much damage as his total health! Where did that come from?!

Probably his limit break. Was his health really low?lisalover1 wrote:I was just playing Final Fantasy VI (relatively early in the game), and in one random encounter, out of nowhere, Locke did an attack that nearly did 10x as much damage as his total health! Where did that come from?!
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Limit breaks didn't come until later, FFVI has "Desperation Attacks". When your character has low health (kneels down), they have a 1 in 16 chance of performing a super powered special attack.Opa Opa wrote:Probably his limit break.
