What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Limitless

Great movie! Has a good ending to, instead of the crappy one you would come to think as you watched the movie.

Some day you will all admit regret at seeing Man of Still over This is The End this past weekend.

How do you compare a movie to one you have already dismissed and haven't seen, sir?

Not sayin' you aren't right*, but you have no fuckin' frame of reference. You're out of your element Dishy.

END was like a cold glass of iced water after mowing the lawn. Not crazy about the first act, but the last hour was sooooooooooooooo refreshing. Now go see FRANCES HA.

The one and only complaint I had about it is: What was with the shaky camera?

There couldn't be a better Father & Son movie so far this year, and why they didn't market it that way is mind boggling. It's a no brainer.

The shaky cam is simply Synder being Synder. It isn't over used and when it is used I thought it worked (as it is mostly used during "shaky situations").

The hovering Supe scenes were really odd though.

I'm surprised of how many of you guys and gals went to see MOS on opening weekend.

I might be out of my element because I didn't see Supes, but Mon ey Steal has been getting plenty of mixed to poor reviews by both critics and folks in this thread who went to see it. This is the End, on the other hand, has earned nothing but critical and popular kudos. All signs suggest that it does far more for the largely stale comedy genre then Men of Swill does for the equally as tired superhero film genre.

Also, I quite liked the first act (I assume you mean the party). Michael Cera was great in that part, in particular.

C'mon man. You can't judge a movie you haven't watched. Poor form.

You and I both know if Retrodude said "Screw THIS IS THE BEND OVER, see MAN OF STEEL!" you and I would both take umbrage.

Well, maybe not umbrage, but we'd chime in and call him a doofus.

Well, maybe not doofus, but maybe "dork".

Saw This is The End today. Overall I didn't care for it. Some of the jokes were good but a lot of them just felt flat to me. Plus the vulgarity was a bit excessive. Don't get me wrong I like the occasional dick joke, but it felt like there were over a 100 in the two hours or so that the movie lasted.

Guess I had my hopes a little high though. Pineapple Express happened to be on last night and I watched it for about my 5-6th time. Was really hoping this movie would be as good but it just didn't measure up.

On a final note. Channing Tatum..............wow.

Surprising that she would get upset so late into the filming and that she would pull such a stunt. My respect for her as an actress has definitely taken a hit after reading that.

Really I was kind of surprised to see her in the movie. She kind of felt out of place. Was totally expecting her just to have the "we just got jacked by Hermione" scene from the trailer and disappear. Didn't expect her to have as much screen time as she did.

Oh, I'm not trying to bash her at all and who knows what happens when the cameras stop rolling.

She might be a poo head, but at least wait and see if she has a response and hear her side of the story. Lord knows Franco has had his fair share of "He's a wiener".
