It's even derpier than that one, though I know a Sonic hack based on the SNES Speedy Gonzales game does exist hahaalienjesus wrote:Possibly this?porynog wrote: Pokemon Adventure (GB) - I'm not sure what this one is a hack of, but it plays like a d-grade version of Sonic)

Re: Games Acquired 2016
Got Equinox (SNES) today. It's one I had been meaning to purchase for the longest time; maybe someday I'll actually buckle down and finish it. I also have Dragon Buster II (Famicom) arriving in the mail by Friday. Probably won't get much else this year, as all my "spare" money is going towards gifts for the kiddos.
Oh and since my family members are a bunch of blabbermouths I already know what games I'l be getting for Christmas: a Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes SNES repro cart and the Retro-Bit Generations plug and play.

I'm not familiar with that one, but I love the Dreamcast. Be sure to give us your thoughts on it!Edge Master wrote:My first Dreamcast game arrived today. MSR - sealed. Can't wait to play it.

MSR = Metropolis Street Racer. It was expanded on the Xbox line as Project Gotham. It is one of the best racing games of that gen.ElkinFencer10 wrote:I'm not familiar with that one, but I love the Dreamcast. Oh, I didn't realize it was the precursor to PGR. Cool deal.

Speaking of PGR, I finally was able to track down a copy of Blur today! Picked up that and Bioshock Infinite Complete Edition for the 360, and a copy of Dragon's Crown for mah PS3 on Gamestahp's last-gen B2G1 they're havin' atm. I've heard Blur is very fun, and I'm fairly excited to give it a try

MSR isn't perfect: the Kudos requirements for advancement to unlock new tracks, cars, and challenges, can be unforgiving. But the graphics and actual in-game driving feel are fan-dang-tastic. Homerun on that front. Just wish there was a trainer or patch or something to tone down the tooth-grinding difficulty.

Have fun with Metropolis Street Racer. That game lasts forever! There are 25 Chapters in the game with 10 races per Chapter.marurun wrote:MSR isn't perfect: the Kudos requirements for advancement to unlock new tracks, cars, and challenges, can be unforgiving. I am in Chapter 13 and I have already unlocked the entire game. As long as you gain Jokers to double your Kudos on easier races, then you should be fine.
The game can be a bit unforgiving at times. If you fall behind, it is REALLY hard to catch up. Also, you will need to keep changing cars. If the computer starts going faster than you, then they will almost lap you.
Project Gotham Racing is much more realistic. The controls in Metropolis is more arcadey and slippery while Gotham is slower and stickier. Gotham is very much like Gran Turismo in its way.
I am playing both of them right now and they are very similar in tracks and scenarios. But, they are still very different in a way.
