Movies dont really scare me. Games often do. It is weird.

No, it mainly consists of you sitting in a room waiting for animatronic animals to eat your face.mjmjr25 wrote:I like getting scared by games and would like to try more of them out.

IIRC the guy who made the game is a Christian, actually. So no.mjmjr25 wrote:I like getting scared by games and would like to try more of them out.

They're "fragments of hope" technically speaking.ExedExes wrote:All this time I thought they were light bulbs.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Sylviana is like an Ys-y ARPG on FDS with no true leveling system. Ghost Lion has turn-based battles but you collect "heart containers" like in Zelda.

Yeah. Considering Scott Cawthon made four games in the franchise in about one year's span, there really can't be much to them I suspect.Ack wrote:No, it mainly consists of you sitting in a room waiting for animatronic animals to eat your face.mjmjr25 wrote:I like getting scared by games and would like to try more of them out.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I have plans to play the first Five Nights at Freddy's game. I watched a few Let's Plays and fell in love with it. From what I gather on the internet, they got hyped like mad and a large group of people got turned off by the popularity. I know it doesn't frighten everybody -- although a lot of the folks in forums who feel utterly compelled to shout "IT'S NOT EVEN SCARY OMG!!!!" get a suspicious side-eye from me -- but it's also short and frequently hilarious. If you're a fan of dark humor, you will adore the daily briefings from the oh-so-laid-back Phone Guy. It could be worth a few hours of your time.
For me personally, the first game is horror done right: I don't have to worry about gore, I'm kept in suspended stress, the interface is simple and elegant, and so many of the spooky moments are caused by playing off my expectations. For example, one of the rooms you monitor is a storage area full of anamontronic parts. On the rare random occasion, sometimes you'll click over to that feed and find all of the anamotronic heads inexplicably turned toward the camera and staring at you. This creeps me out! I love that!
But I sympathize with noise, marurun, and Michi with stealth games. Those freak me out in a bad way. I don't know why, exactly. Even if there aren't actual consequences that I can see, my panic over getting caught is ridiculous. I mean, we're even talking about sneaking into Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time, folks. No joke. And Ryu creepin' around the docks in Shenmue. There's just something about having to actively avoid a moving tracker that I can't handle so well.
The entire time I was doing that section of Shenmue, I had my husband instruct me through it because I couldn't think straight. It was like that scene in The Matrix when Morpheus is talking Neo through his office escape by phone. "Wait Key, there's a guard who will walk by. Wait. Wait. Wait. NOW RUN! NOW TURN LEFT!! DUCK!! Now wait again. Waaaaaaaaaaait..." etc. It was pretty awesome, actually.

When I think of being stalked in the dark and trying to be stealthy but also scared:
Those damned wolves.
Very underrated series IMO.
