Actually that is fairly close...
Ack is an expression for sudden pain and surprise. I originally took it from WWII FPS, where the Nazi enemies would often shout, "Ach!" when they were shot. I've had friends who liked to refer to people in real life by their handles tell me that they couldn't say mine without shouting it.

I always thought it was an homage to Bill the Cat or alternately touting (supposedly) superior alternatives to grep in UNIX.

I want to play an RPG, but I really don't like this experience and leveling system.
I know you're just ribbing me. But I felt funny even posting about it. But what can I do? I can't really control my physiological reaction to the game. And yet it being an Alien game I do want to get to see more of it than I did.
To use your example, some people might choose to play an RPG on an easier difficulty setting.
I tried to play it a bit recently and it wasn't so much the stealth that bugged me, but the fact that the Aliens AI is a bit unfair/annoying. It's one of those games where the AI doesn't follow a regular path and has a tendency to go in your general direction constantly never leaving you hardly any breathing room. For example there was one room that I sat in for 8 or so minutes because the Alien was always within eye site when I got in the hallway. So I just sat in the closet waiting for him to go in a vent or something. Well 5 minutes later he just walks in the room goes straight up to the closet and eats my ass .
Still haven't gone back and tried easy mode. All I know is on Normal it's as if the AI while free to do what it wants most of the time is required to walk up within 4-5 feet of you at least once every minute or two.

This is the reaction I have to some horror movies, and I know I couldn't play Alien Isolation (or 5 Nights at Freddy's) for the same reason. It would just freak me out too much. It makes me sad I can't experience and appreciate those games, but at the same time, I don't need that stress in my life. Too many great games of then and now to play.
