Yeah, from what I watched she came off as very off putting. I guess that's how Jack got the inspiration for his hate an madness against her character.vash23n wrote:Shining rocks except for the lead actress. I watched a bunch of behind the scene stuff on the DVD and the whole crew and other actors apparently had a lot of trouble with her. It makes crazy Jack seem much more scary though.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Well I guess now I'm watching The Shining as that's what AMC decided to play next. I've only ever sen bits and pieces of it so it's good to be able to watch it while I'm on a horror streak after Night Of The Dead.

Currently watching the Game ON! documentary about the history of the game industry on CNBC. It's pretty good and very accurate for the most part, but going from the last time I watched it about two years ago there are a few notable/biased mistakes but nothing major that would leave a sour taste in my mouth.

They were playing Drag Me to Hell at The Arthouse at Barefoot Station (formerly Big Wave Dave's). They also played other stuff, but I either missed most of it (cuz of work) or didn't wanna see it. It was free since they just rented the movies from the video store (the projector uses DVDs).
And today, I saw "Night of the Creeps" and "Hellraiser 3".
And my next two movies from Netflix (got two right now, see above) are Deep Red (early Argento flick) and Pulse (original Japanese version).

I figured it was Halloween, so I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street.
And that makes film #100 for this year!

Moon. Decent but the plot material left a lot to be desired. Sam Rockwell delivered a strong performance in this solid sci-fi flick.

Planning on diving head first into Star Trek. I'm currently starting with the TOS era, which includes:
* Seasons 1-3
* The Animated Series
* Star Trek 1-6
And after that, I may go after the TNG era (the series in its entirety and the films), and then after that I may try for all the post TNG spin-offs.
But after ST6, I'm going on a hiatus on my foray into Star Trek to focus on holiday films (assuming I can't shoot through the TOS era by the end of November).

I watched "Soldier" again last night. It's very corny, but I still love it. Kurt Russell plays the lead, and he has, like, ten lines total through the entire film.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

If you like Kurt Russell, check him out in Captain Ron. It's this old comedy from the '90s with Martin Short as this yuppie dad who takes his kids on a boat trip with the film's title character, played by Kurt Russell (who apparently decides to make himself look as much as Snake Plissken as possible).Limewater wrote:I watched "Soldier" again last night. Apparently, movies from the 90's are old. Being over 25 here will make you feel like a dinosaur.REPO Man wrote: ... It's this old comedy from the '90s ...

People acting like the '90s are old always annoys me.Luke wrote:Apparently, movies from the 90's are old. Being over 25 here will make you feel like a dinosaur.REPO Man wrote: ... It's this old comedy from the '90s ...
Although, if you think about it, next year the '90s will be over a decade ago.
