My boss created a script on one of our Linux servers back in the day, where if you typed "why" at the command line it scrolled out "Because sh*t happens!" in big ASCII letters.jinx wrote:My job is the Internet sooooo....RCBH928 wrote:How many hours do you guys spend on the internet daily?
Work: 9hrs
Home: 4hrs
So about 13hrs a day. This is true for weekends as well...

^ That's awesome, Fast.
What's truly sad is that we rarely have that type of service these days. We live in a world where if it breaks you go out and get a new one, rarely do things get fixed and repaired.

Yeah I remember all the VCR repair shops we used to have......
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
And they were usually TV repair shops that also did VCRs and later CD players. I remember growing up, we took the family TV and VCR to get repairs several times.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Yeah I remember all the VCR repair shops we used to have......

I recognized I have a compulsive buying problem but I never seem to be able to fight myself. I always fall victim to it. I don't understand!
Older. Not wiser.

Because now a days repairs end up costing more than the item itself most of the time.Ziggy587 wrote:^ That's awesome, Fast.

I feel you man! Sometimes i'll spend my paycheck before I even receive it. And whenever I try to save, all these good deals start popping up. Saving up for my PS4 is starting to become a living hell.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I recognized I have a compulsive buying problem but I never seem to be able to fight myself. I always fall victim to it.
