no idea man. I spent my time last night just trying to get some basic moves down. I know there's the Arcana Guage at the bottom of the screen, and there's another guage at the top of the screen that has a percantage on it that can be filled up to 100. But I'm not really sure what to make of either yet.

I know the bottom accounts for specials. And some other thing too... Not sure. The top allows me to go into some higher powered mode using the effects of the chosen arcana, I think

When the top meter is 100% press A B C.

You may have to do some trigger button mapping. This game definitely works better on a stick. 5 button layout is taking some getting used too. Especially since the arcana button is my pinky.

I'm using my 6-button control pad (Chun-Li MadCatz) that I use for all my PS3 fighting games. (I can't use a stick for fighters).

I setup the controls to mimic that actual arcade layout, so it's

Weak - Strong - Heavy
Homeing - (one) - Arcana

or rather:

A - B - C
D ----- E

That makes it pretty hard to press A + B + C at the same time. Another imported combo is C + E, which should be easy on that setup. And lots of A + B.

I didn't use homing that much when I played last night. But I can see it being very important.

Here is what I did with an 8 button arcade stick

- A - B - C - -
D - - - - - E

I actually don't have a problem hitting A+B+C with me thumb. I'm used to it for things like SF3.

What does C+E do?

Yeah I barely use Homing myself. I don't think I've properly gotten the hang of it. Just use it here n there.

Reading up on the game now. So every arcana has their own supers. Going to try to master one character with one arcana and see how this goes. :D Looking forward to tonight. I think I have an okay feel for how things work. Just need a lot of practice.

Edit: C + E does an arcana burst. Which blows away your enemy. Basically what you use if your opponent is kicking your ass, and you can't escape.

There are a lot of potential combos here. I love this game. It doesn't get enough love because of the all female cast. And probably because the character sprites are definitely not HD

I've got the ideas in my head. Just need to get the execution down. Still have work for another 2 hours.. Too bad the PSP doesn't play PS2 games. I'd put AH1 or 2 on it

I only own AH2, but I have only played it once. Seemed like a solid fighter.

Looking forward to tonight, but it'll be a small crowd. I love this game. And it's nice that the last boss isn't near impossible like some other fighters, haha. But the last two are certainly tough.
