R-Type DX is just R-Types (so I & II)... the GBA port of III is called Third Lightning, but it's fucked up. It's made impossible due to zoomed in aspect ratio.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Hahaha.
Wait is there a GBA port? I have R-Type DX on GBC and it's hard as balls also.
What shmup are you playing now?

Damn sounds rough. Retro handheld shooters are always a gamble.
Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Been playing game paradise and sengoku blade on my jap saturn.

Really? That was on my Most Wanted GBA list for quite some time. At least the eBay prices have been steering me quite clear of itnoiseredux wrote:the GBA port of III is called Third Lightning, but it's fucked up. It's made impossible due to zoomed in aspect ratio.
As for shmups, besides my namesake this month, I've also been doing a lot of Juno First, because alienjesus had to mention it in his London arcade thread

Galaga - NES
What's the consensus on this port? I don't have a lot of arcade experience with it and thought it was fine.

It's pretty darn perfect as far as I know. Everything's there. Namco developed it and Bandai just licensed it. Now 25 years later, they're one company. Must have been all those NES games they licensed from themretrosportsgamer wrote:Galaga - NES

Aero Blasters on TG-16. It's pretty damn sweet, too. No slowdown I've noticed so far; it moves at a great speed; responsive controls, and good music.
Damn, I think I'm gonna have to start looking into Turbo shmups.
EDIT: I'll start a Hi-Score thread for this if there's any takers.
