Django UnchainedSaw it yesterday and loved it. Really liked the Christopher Waltz character, makes me want to watch Inglorious Basterds even more. Why I haven't seen it yet is beyond me. Excuses.
Can someone explain to me some of the random extras that seem to have focus and aren't anything? Some sort of homage?

Yup. I couldn't help but yelp "It's Luke Duke!" on my first viewing. Don't remember for sure, but there may be a dozen short cameos, of not more.
FAST 6---Not yet, but tonight. I'm guessing every "sixtilogy" has at least two good movies in 'em so why not give it a shot?
Really, really hoping Ludacris has a cameo. Not going to get my hopes up, but if he does I look forward to starting the chant "Move bitch, get out the way, get out the way bitch get out the way".

I like the original. it carries on that weird "something is really wrong" feeling better than any of the sequels.

That's Zoe Bell. I haven't exactly figured out why she was shown in that way, I guess it was to emphasize her femininity among the men? I'm not sure.

Saw Fast and Furious 6 and they pretty much confirmed there will be a FF7. Plus you will never guess who is going to be the villain in the next movie.
There is a scene about 1 minute into the credits in which:
(SPOILER)Overall it was a decent movie plenty of action, cool cars, and interesting characters. However the story felt pretty weak but I think that had a lot to do with the trailer showing way to much and spoiling a lot of the best scenes for me. I am glad however that the whole Tokyo Drift / Han issue finally got tied up.

Wait a minute, there's actually an ongoing story?

Horrors of Malformed Men
So it's an erotically grotesque pink film that has been effectively banned in Japan because it disturbed people so much. This film is a nightmare in many ways: it contains sadism, murder, incest, transvestism, adultery, insanity, physical mutilation, physical deformity, dismemberment, suicide, human experimentation similar to that practiced in Nazi concentration camps by Joseph Mengele, and near-cannibalism (pulling off and eating animals that feast upon dead human flesh). It all starts as a mystery involving a man who suddenly finds himself in a mental institution with no idea why and ends with a series of shocking discovers on an island off the Japanese coast, with twists that at times could be from a Lovecraftian tale, which isn't that surprising, since Lovecraft was an enormous fan of Edgar Allan Poe, as was Edogawa Rampo, whose work served as the basis for this movie.
It's also a disturbing horror film...at least until supercop shows up and reveals the plot at the end through his uber detective skills. That deus ex machina ruins the day is the film's greatest flaw. Beyond that it is a disturbing and twisted nightmare of a movie that makes Hausu look like a Disney flick in comparison.

My daughter wanted to watch oz the great and poweful over the weekend. Good god what a letdown, franco and kunis badly miscast. At any moment i expected franco to fire up a blunt. Seemed like he mailed in this one.

Told ya so. I thought Kunis gave her worst performance ever.
FURIOUS 6
Dumb fun done right. This movie knows exactly what it is supposed to be, and it delivers. I'm not familiar with the entire series, I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, but I was all smiles while watching 6.
If I was a fan of the series, I'd probably hail 6 as one of the best action films ever. Since I'm not, I'll say it's one of the best action movies of the year.

Superman VS The Elite
Just as impressive the second time as it was the first, this would be my pick for "Best DTV Film" among all the other DC Universe ones (although I haven't seen The Dark Knight Returns yet). It kinda makes you wish they would take a chance on releasing one of these in theaters 'cause they've obviously got the talent.
