People get very defensive if someone insinuates there are right and wrong ways to play a game and are very quick to slap the "elitist" label on you. It's not restricted to any given topic, I've gotten the label for practically any opinion I have on the subject.
- Credit feeding being a poor way of playing arcade games.
- Random critical hits in Team Fortress 2 not being interesting gameplay.
- Being in favour of banning overpowered, game-breaking cards in CCGs.
- Regarding permadeath as being a vital part of the design of Fire Emblem
- Regarding death as being a vital part of the design of Fire Emblem
- Regarding grabs as being a vital part of fighting games
- Thinking that checking a guide for every single puzzles in Myst makes the game pointless.
- Finding grinding uninteresting and game-breaking.
And so on.

(Does that statement make me an elitist?)

But yeah, most RPGs require very little strategy and it can be replaced by grinding in almost all instances.
