Cyber Core is pretty competent, but as you point out, on the TG-16/PC Engine there's so much competition that being competent just isn't enough. Also, I really have issues with the hitbox. Your ship gets so large at full power that it's a real chore to dodge. I'm not sure I find the power/hitbox size trade off one that I'm a fan of.
