As a teacher, middle school, I don't really see how that works. We have many teachers in our district that pulls stuff like that and they don't even grade it - they just give it to keep the kids quiet on the last days of school.
In my district the diplomas are already printed and made, therefore all grades must be averaged two days before the ceremony. Now I know my district's way isn't the only way, but from seeing other districts that I worked in and my wife's district (she is also a teacher) I find it hard to believe that he could pull that off. Whether he can or can't do it, it's BS. All good teachers can tell if you have grasped the concepts of class or not well before the end of the year and if they need to wait until the end they are just grasping at straws (the same goes for students who use the last couple assignments to try to bring their grade up from failing).

Agreed 100% with this. Your teacher is full of shit.

Ticked: My English teacher had the nerve to assign us a paper on the last day that was due by the Graduation ceremony, and if we didn't do it, we would get a "0" for the entire course.
Maybe that's just their idea of an end of the year prank? I doubt they have any authority to give you a 0 for not doing one tacked on assignment...
Smile: My credit card rewards program sent me a $50 Amazon voucher - it was just enough to cover the purchase of Mega Man X4 for the Saturn, CIB. I justify the purchase by focusing on the way Capcom did translucent effects for the Saturn version vice the more available PSX version.
Frown: Man, buying Saturn games on Amazon always makes me nervous. The sellers never seem to be very careful with shipping.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Frown: I'm with you on that it was a little while ago, but when I bought Ys: Ark of Napishtim on Amazon, the description lead me to believe that it was complete. It showed up without a manual and I looked at the description and you had to hit 'more' before seeing that it had no manual.
Frown: About a week ago, I noticed a small 1/16" vertical rainbow of stuck pixels in the center of my DSi XL touch screen. It's noticeable when I play a game with a predominately white background such as Virus Buster.
Smile: It seems that my XL is still under warranty so it's going back to Nintendo for replacement.
Frown: Will have to use a DS Lite until it comes back.
Frown: Went home this weekend. I knew my mother and step father were having some issues - but I did not appreciate the gravity if the situation till now.
Smile: My mother received a Wii for Christmas last year but never got anyone to hook it up for her. She's kind of afraid of technology, even the stuff we would consider the easiest. I hooked it up for her and spent the weekend watching her play her first video game ever: Wii Sports Resort. She smiled. She laughed. She forgot (for a bit) about her problems. I got reminded about why video games were magical once upon a time.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Frown: My wife if at work and I can't get my youngest daughter to take a bottle, she's choking on the nipple and just crying uncontrollably because she's hungry. I finally got her to settle down and go to sleep, I'll try again in an hour. I hope it works I can't take her being upset...
