I want to be the first to point out that LA Noire is not like GTA, very different experience. LA Noire is an adventure game at heart. You can actually skip the open world stuff entirely and just do the main cases in sequence (letting your AI partner drive skips the actual driving).
If you passed over LA Noire, I strongly advise going back and revisiting it. Although from what I've read, PS3 was the lead platform, so you might want to go that route.
Yeah I've known about it for awhile, I always kind of assumed it was a David Cage / Heavy Rain kind of thing? My roommate is huge on this stuff but I'm not sure about these types for me. Definitely willing to give it a shot, love detective stories.
I'm a little upset Rockstar took over Max Payne though.

(probably didn't help I was a completionist with II and Brotherhood so I put a lot of time into them). I also felt like Jesper Kyd not composing after the first few probably did some damage, I've never heard anyone talk up III's OST or anything like that.
Always heard good things about The Saboteur, but it's open world city sandbox #4000 for last gen.

I'm like 90% sure that I bought The Saboteur thinking that it was Velvet Assassin, and now I feel very dumb Xp

^ lol well looking at those three Exhum bought, all the covers are quite similar and look like they could be re-releases of the same game or something. Can't blame you.
@noise: Heavy Rain was cool in my book, I'm just not always up for games like this. I didn't like Indigo Prophecy though, Simon Says battles against giant cockroaches... I couldn't handle that, lol. I feel like Until Dawn beats David Cage to his own game so he better step it up with his Blade Runner-esque game.
@Fragems: Wow haha, well I just saw a better virtual racks in Metro Last Light. For FREE! No DLC for those!

The only game of his that I've played through was Indigo Prophecy. I did not enjoy Indigo Prophecy, as it was a poorly written mess of a game, despite its better intentions. Since I have not played Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls yet, I can't compare L.A. Noire to those. However, compared to Indigo Prophecy, L.A. Noire is a masterpiece. Seriously if you haven't played it yet, give L.A. Noire a chance. I spent another three hours with it last night and loved every minute.

Even if you didn't like Indigo Prophecy, I'd still recommend Heavy Rain. Still probably one of my favorite PS3 games because I really got into the mystery, the plot really grabbed me, and the way the action uses 6-axis worked exactly as it should've for getting me into the quicker action based scenes (to describe those as non-spoilery as possible).

I'm not sure about that...
Heavy Rain is a great party game, but my friends and I would always crack up a ton whenever someone had to pull off the 6-axis moves.
Apparently there's a PS4 version now I think, I don't think the DS4 supports that so they must have thrown in more QTE's or something, which isn't really a bad thing.
I own copies of Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. I bought them because they are exclusive showboats for the PS3. I figured if nothing else, the graphics/tech would be worth seeing.
