If your PS2 cards ever get to my house, I'll mail this back to you along with P.N.03. I think playing the two back to back will be an enlightening experience. I'm convinced the only reason anyone Stockholm Syndromed themselves into "enjoying" Gunvalkyrie was simply because of "dat ass". Gunvalkyrie could have been a mediocre shooter, its dipshit controls make it trash in my book.

Damn, thanks man. Yeah, the cheapest option happened to be the "strap to the back of a small orphan boy and have him walk from New Jersey to Georgia." I have no idea why delivery is taking so long for this one, but the estimate was Sept 12. I used to joke that Play-Asia has athletic Asian men hand deliver packages because it takes so damn long with them, but at this rate, that might actually be what's going on here...

If My Heart Had Wings

I know sometimes you have to wait a bit before a game starts to get good, but it's kind of difficult to convince me to keep going when there is no hook in the first hour or so. I could only play an hour of this since it was just soooo boring. None of the characters were interesting at all. It kind of feels like that the game expects you to be interested in the wheelchair girl, but her being in a wheelchair does not make me automatically interested.

Doesn't help that I've heard it's kind of meh and that I still remember how good Steins;Gate was, even when nothing was happening.

Did you read my review of this from several months back? Because it's straight up fucking Engrish about 8 hours in. Like, it starts off translated just fine, but like halfway through, it's as if they fired their entire translations team and picked up homeless Filipino boys from the back alleys of Manila and told them to finish the translation.

 I probably did. I recall someone posting about something about it not being good, but I couldn't quite remember who. There aren't too many people here who will play a visual novel, so it was probably your post. I have a bad memory so I can't remember who said what and where sometimes

Also I'm glad I didn't get much farther if the translation really is that bad

Yeah, it's right about when Amane finally graduates that the translation goes to shit.

Also, a good rule of thumb is that if it's a post about VNs, 9 times out of 10, either Exhuminator or I made that post.

Too many shitty VNs on Steam. Too many developers who think cutesy anime characters is all you need to make a successful game.

And with me and my easy-to-please nature, that's often the case for me, but this one was just written like absolute shit. Even my weeb ass was like "What the actual fuck is going on here?"

Yeah, but at least most of them are pretty easy to spot. I've seen a lot of VNs on there that just look like they slapped it together real quick and thrown onto Steam for a quick buck.

Also not trusting Steam reviews for VNs really helps. People on there either seem to say "There's no gameplay! This is the worst game ever!" or "This is my first VN ever and it's the best game in the universe!!". I swear, there's rarely any middle ground :|
