Yeah, I have heard a lot of good things about the Suncom sticks. But I have never heard of or seen a 500XJ before. That's one of the fun things about the 2600, there was such a huge variety of 3rd party controllers and a lot of them were really well made and fun to use!

Wizard of Wor was 1982. It's a much easier game than the original.

I blew through at least 4-5 500XJs because I didn't get an NES until 1989. We're talking BSD levels of retro here, people!

My rarest 2600 game is the Artillery Duel/Chuck Norris Superkicks double-ender, at 5.

Arrived today: Tim Worthington 2600RGB kit. Because I'm crazy, that's why. And because it seems a relatively simple soldering job so I'm trying to get my feet wet with it.

I feel like TR needs a 2600 game next year.

I think an old arcade game with multiple second gen ports would be ideal. Zaxxon, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Wizard of Wor, etc...

btw has anyone seen the new Namco plug n play that's shaped like Pac-Man? The back advertises that the kill screen bug has been fixed so it is possible to complete level 256 (and beyond?).

Nah, it should be something uniquely 2600. Don't get me wrong; I absolutely LOVE Space Invaders. I'm saying that if we want to do 2600, let's do it all the way. I vote for Pitfall!

I vote for Kaboom! It is a great game. It has modern sensibilities, and it would be great for people on the forum to compete for high scores.

As long as the game has an exclamation point in the title, that's all that matters.

That's certainly what Magnavox thought with the Odyssey^2

Something like that would be fine too. Pitfall! has been ported extensively, which is good. I don't think a very high percentage of members here actually own an Atari 2600 / 7800, but plenty have a PlayStation 2.

Some of those games even have two exclamation points.

Bowling! / Basketball!

The Odyssey 2 rules tho.
