Yeah that must be the case it's showing all the Wave 2 figures as available for store pick up for our Toy's R Us so I guess it wasn't an accidental leak like I initially thought.
It's not uncommon for things that are not released yet to simply be scanned into our inventory early and then left in a box in the back till release date, and occasionally people will find the stuff and stock it early after checking an item for a customer.
Trying to do a pre-order for Meta Knight from Best Buy (its an exclusive ), and i want to do store pickup, but for my store and like every store within 100 miles, it says unavailable, wtf!?
May have to ante up and pay that whole $2.99 for shipping....

Nintendo and their logistics partners severely underestimated the demand for these guys.
Of course especially if there's "video game investors" buying them up

Market is going to be flooded with resellers pretty soon. It already is, so I think the demand for these will be dried up in a couple months. Anyone who really wants them knows now to pre-order so there won't be a lot of people willing to pay $40 for a figure anymore and it will be a race to the bottom for the resellers.

Just got another figure as a secret santa gift - Fox McCloud.
Really impressed with this one - of the 4 I have to hand (Link, Pikachu, Villager, Fox) it's definitely the best looking quality wise.
I actually have some others at my parent's house I need to pick up (Marth, Peach, Wii Fit Trainer) and one more on the way (Pit) so I';ll have to see how they compare.

Yeah, it's a local chain. But it was purchased by Kroger about five years ago. It would appear they haven't messed with the store very much, thankfully.
Fred Meyer has a very low turnover rate for a lot of things. For instance, in multiple locations, they still had Shin Megami Tensei IV launch edition for over a year.
The only Wave 2 Amiibo I didn't see there was Captain Falcon. And the dude said he hadn't seen it at all. There was only one Little Mac, and two Pit.
Sidenote:
I wish Fred Meyer's clearance tables would return for games. When they were closing out PS2 stuff it was pretty nuts. There'd be a table with stuff like Tales of the Abyss and Rule of Rose marked at $16, and then everything on the table was 30% to 60% off lowest marked price. It was glorious.
