In general enemy units tend to have a few types of orders. The first is "attack the opinion leader", and the second is "retake city X". Retake city tends to come up when you start taking the cities close to the boss castle, while the ones far away tend to not be prioritized much. Combined with fairly predictable enemy movement patterns (sky is straight line, ground follows the road to an extent) and you can determine which cites you actively need to protect and which ones the enemy can't get to without hitting one of your more forward units.Ack wrote:You can, my rep was just too low at the time. I got it much higher over the course of Diaspola and have now gotten the Silver(as well as Norn, who has become my first princess. The demon statue I got from Posha has been used to get a staff, so Warren is now a Sorcerer). I'm currently paused in the Valley of Kastro, but I'm worried that I initially spread my units too thin, so now my northern squads are getting slammed while some of my most powerful units in the southern side of the map just aren't seeing any action.

I'm in Diaspola and thinking of tanking my rep to go back and grab Deneb (but not before grabbing Norn, I guess). Can someone confirm, is it the reputation (global) or the Leader's alignment that needs to be low to recruit her when taking her the item she wanted?

Reputation, from what I've seen.Ivo wrote:I'm in Diaspola and thinking of tanking my rep to go back and grab Deneb (but not before grabbing Norn, I guess). Anyway, I've finished the Valley of Kastro and now have Rauny, and I've discovered my first Chaos Gate, so next up, I take on Slust. I'm worried about my Opinion Leader though, because while his Ali is over 80, his Cha is in the 60s right now.

I beat the Slums of Zenobia last night. I have all my wizards promoed to mages/sorcerors now except the 2 with Lans.
My high aligned units are levels 6-7, and my low aligned 10-12. I was able to keep Warren at 13 ali to promote.

The guide I saw said both. If you do decide to tank the rep then save outside her stage, if she doesn't join then reload and kill a few Pumpkins to blow your rep.Ivo wrote:I'm in Diaspola and thinking of tanking my rep to go back and grab Deneb (but not before grabbing Norn, I guess). Deneb joins at level 10 and has an amazing INT stat, so she'd be a good candidate to turn into a Valkyrie and then a Muse.

And now my attention was directed here...
I just found a copy of this sitting on my best friend's shelf. I'm totally going to borrow it and try to jump in here. Little late, but better late than never. I'm not normally that great at SRPGs so maybe having someone to talk with about it will help. Plus, an excellent excuse for me to "borrow" it from my bestie, and conveniently forget to give it back

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

I found a thread on GameFAQs board on MotBQ that has some compiled requirements.

This had a few of the ones I wanted to know (spoilered)

Took down Gares and recruited Aisha. I am low on back row units and dont really want more than one mermaid. I may need to recruit a couple units to flesh out my squads.

I ended up making all of my units 2/3 front/back, rather than the 3/2 2/3 mix I employed in the past. It feels like the back row units are superior in every way, except in the cases of boss fights with a Fool card.Jmustang1968 wrote:Took down Gares and recruited Aisha. More powerful offensively for sure, but those 2 in front can often times allow one to take more hits and get killed easily. Most of my units are 3-2 or 2-2, and even 1 3-1. I need more back row guys.MrPopo wrote:I ended up making all of my units 2/3 front/back, rather than the 3/2 2/3 mix I employed in the past.
