I got Resident Evil 6 the day it came out, and I honestly REALLY enjoy it. It suffers from the same major (in my opinion) problem that 5 did and that you could see creeping up in 4 in that it's more of a "look what a badass I am" game than it is a real survival horror game, but honestly, I think Capcom stopped trying to make them horror games after 4 (like I said, 4 only had a little bit of that; it was still scary as shit in a lot of parts).
One thing I want to point out if it hasn't been pointed out already (I'm sorry, I didn't have the patience to read all 12 pages, lol) is that Capcom did right in 6 what they tried (and failed, in my opinion) to do in 2 - tell the same story from multiple perspectives. I thought 2's Leon/Claire perspective switch was a good idea but poorly done, but having different campaigns to tell the same big story from different points of view added a LOT to the experience, and they really did it well.
It's still a Resident Evil game, so a lot of the plot doesn't really make a lot of sense when you think about it, but the writing and directing in 6 is by far the best of the series. I think anyone who played both 5 and 6 will agree with me in saying that it's GREAT to have AI partners that aren't just complete and absolute detriments, and though 3DS owners got the non-tank controls in Revelations before everyone else did in 6, letting you move while aiming was one of the best changes Capcom ever made to the series.
I just wanted to throw my opinion out there since I've seen a lot of mixed feelings about the game.

Thanks for everyone's opinions on the GC remake.
And it seems Capcom continue their policy of on-disc "DLC".

Polarizing views comes to mind with this entire thread.
From what I've played of the game so far, I like RE6. Yes, I do have my gripes with the game (cover system sucks, each game probably could have been its own, a few unnecessary/awful stages), but I have generally enjoyed my time with the game.
On another note, chapter 2 of Jake's campaign can go die in a burning orphanage. Worst level I've played in a game in a while.

This is a good Black Friday target. I'm guessing it could be $29.99 by then.CFFJR wrote: I can't buy it now, but its on my list.

Played some of Leon's campaign with a friend yesterday. It's definitely fun when playing coop but admittedly doesn't even feel slightly scary.
Also, exploding zombie heads with elbow drops is a bit ridiculous. Haha..
