That doesn't make any sense. The only thing you see on Robocop is his mouth!
Oh. Well even though everbody is being mean to me I am at least pleased that the topic is at least centered around me again even if it's not in a positive light.
We are saying you look like Peter Weller, the actor who plays Robocop, hardly being mean.
As for why people are hanging shit on you is this, half the people think you are a troll taking the piss, the other half think you are an utter douche who wants people to say "OMG YOUR COLLECTION IS SO AMAZING!! I WANNA BE JUST LIKE YOU".

I honestly don't know which side to take.
On one hand, some of the stuff that OP has written is just way over the top, like not knowing what disc rot looks like or bragging about a Saturn 3D pad. A goddamn Saturn 3D Pad! Hilarious.
On the other, we've had some utterly oblivious personalities on these boards in the past (and even the present, I daresay). Plus, the OP's first post is a long video showing off his Dreamcast collection...so if he's trolling, he thought way ahead. Most trolls don't think that far ahead.

Honestly, I posted here because none of my co-workers care about my hobby. I work as a personal trainer you see and everyone at work is a jock meat head and the only games they care about are the Madden and NCAA series. So I was hoping I could impress people here by posting my video game collection. I'm lonely you see.
OK, let me be honest, then. You DO have an impressive game collection, but there are a LOT of folks on here who like games. I'm sure there are a couple folks on this board who have PC Engine LT systems, which are among the most valuable game systems you can own. When you come into a community and one of the first things you post is "Hey, look how awesome MY stuff is. I bet it's better than all of your stuff," well, what do you expect? Truth told, we've been pretty well-behaving and we've gone pretty easy on you so far, at least in part because we were managing to keep ourselves amused.
I'm really glad you enjoy videogames enough to be proud of your collection, but humility is a blessing not a curse. We're happy to welcome you to our community if you don't come in sounding like you want to compare penis size with everyone. You know what that means, right? Guys comparing who has the faster, more awesome car or the most expensive watch or suit, or whatever. It's a proxy for penis comparisons, jockeying for position and influence.
You come in here, you don't start at the top. You start at the bottom. As your post count rises and you earn the respect of the folks in the community your status rises. How many good connections you make here is all up to you. We can indeed be dicks at times, but we're also, by and large, pretty awesome. Racketboy build a good community and we like it, for all the flaws. Please, stay, be friendly. But don't be offended when we knock you down a few pegs because you're trying a little too hard to be a big dog.
I thought the topic was initially genuine, but dove into the ground as the sarcasm built.
This is in the wrong forum for collection topics (and not even the gaming forum) so maybe the notion that most people here are collectors was lost.
Straight up, nobody is going to tell you you have the greatest collection. We're probably not going to read through a list of hundreds of games. With high quality photos, we can glance and see what's on the shelves.
Most users here buy the original games. If some of them are burned copies, we probably don't count them. Saying that your copies are genuine is like going into the store and announcing that your $20 bill is genuine. Duh.
When someone makes a post showing off their collection, I look at quantity and organization first. Quantity might seem shallow, but quality is subjective to what the individual likes. Modern games don't interest me much from a collection standpoint.

And the troll / no troll debate rages on.
Assuming troll: Bravo. The persistence is amazing.
Assuming no-troll: Trust me dude, you are not going to impress anyone on this site with a few pictures of retail games. We have people who have collections that dwarf yours. We have people who write their own games, build their own cabinets. We even have a professional videogame-centric comedian or two.
Wanna make friends on this site? Talk to people about video games in general, not YOUR video games in particular.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
