One month of awesome is worth one day of suffering. :p
Although, I must say I would've enjoyed that Corvette you were gonna buy me.

If Ys wins I will spend the entire month spamming the thread explaining how it both is not an RPG and yet is a typical JRPG. Your minds will be blown. ...so which platform should I get Ys on?

All the available ones. I mean if you're going to spam the TR thread you gotta be thorough, right?

@swift

It changed Ys I & II gameplay. It's more Zelda-like. You swing your sword in that version.
I honestly HATE that. I've played the original too much. If you like Zelda-esque gameplay though, you'll probably really enjoy it.

I am going to virtual console it - I hear it is really smooth on the Wii.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Honestly, I do like Zelda-esque gameplay.
That's going to be my Adventure game

I recommend the PC88 version. Then you can truly be hardcore.
Honestly, the TG-16/PCE version is very nice (available on the VC, as was just said). If you want the best graphics, the the PSP or maybe DS versions are your best bet... unless you want to play the Saturn or Windows Japanese versions.
