92. Witch's Wish


A female friend of mine introduced me to this one, and I have to say that I like it despite it clearly not being intended for grown men

This game is ridiculously cute. You take the role of a very cute blue haired little girl named Vicky whose one wish is to become a witch and use magic to help people in need. She's very poor, and only rich girls can go to magic school. Only after meeting a mysterious white robed girl named Tanya does her fortunes begin to change.



The game is mostly a story driven text adventure that borrows elements from a simple RPG. It's filled with an almost exclusively female cast of talking heads with a story filled with dialogue about the virtues of friendship, understanding and the evils of greed and lust for power.

If you want to play perhaps the cutest game ever, or just have a loli fetish, give this one a try. If Vicky's smile hasn't totally melted your face within the first few minutes of the game, there's something wrong with you. Dad's should buy it for their daughters and also secretly for themselves.

For the true otaku experience, play the Japanese version, Majo ni Naru. The original has adorable voice acting throughout the whole game, plus an original soothing j-pop opening. The English release, by Natsume is more in line with their other girl-friendly games like Harvest Moon or Rune Factory, though they weren't the ones to make it.

93. FF: 4 heroes of light

Yes, I know that there is already an FF game on here, but I'd argue four heroes of light is different enough to be worthwhile. After all, the sequel to it is branching off into its own series(Bravely Default).

999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors

Developed by Chunsoft, who was originally famed for work on Dragonquest and is now known for narrative heavy games that frequently go unlocalized.

The game is a story-driven, puzzle-mystery game with a horror tone. Replays with multiple endings are part of the game design. 999 had the potential to be a flop but great reviews and fan reception prompted subsequent production runs. It is also one of the few M-rated DS games.
