Venture Bros deserves to be on every list. (Though, honestly, I haven't seen an episode in months. Damn you, gainful employment!)

Anyway...
I just caught an episode of The Looney Tunes Show. Wow. I seriously expected the worst, and it actually had me guffawing. I'm impressed.
I remain skeptical. Tell me why it was good. Did it feel like the originals, or did it have a unique sense of humor?

Not really like the originals - which is good, because it would simply have fallen short. They must have known this.

Rather, it's a sorta alternative universe, with what seems to be a continuity. I've only seen two episodes (one was up on Cartoon Network's site - not as good as the one I watched before, but still entertaining: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/ ... index.html Hit the video called 'Jailbird and Jail Bunny').

Seems like Bugs is living in a rather nice neighborhood with Daffy mooching off of him. Yosemite Sam is their neighbor, and they aren't exactly on the best of terms. Other characters make small cameo appearances, but it's usually just them playing a very small bit part. (For example, Elmer Fudd showed up in the episode I watched as a weather man.)

I guess you could say it's like a sitcom... as much as I hate saying that word. Much like the old stuff, there's a surprising amount of mild adult humor - nothing that a kid would get, but it's hilarious to the rest of us. (Or at least it is to me.)

Only problem is you gotta get used to the new voices. Took me a minute to get used to Bugs.

Who says Americans are the only ones to adopt and butcher foreign creations?

Man I've contemplated watching PPGZ so many times but I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm cool with alternative interpretations and all but geez... so many really odd decisions going on. Besides, doesn't the existence of a Powerpuff Girls anime kinda defeat one of the big metajokes of the series?

(also, oh go the comments on that video... oh... god)

Speaking of PPG, finally finished watching all of that dvd set of mine over the weekend. All 78 regular episodes, the Whopass Stew short, the two What-A-Cartoon shorts, the 10th anniverssary special, the christmas special, and the movie.

In celebration I have a new avatar :).

To be fair to PPGZ, it's certainly a lot more respectful than what we almost did to Sailor Moon

God I know. Some of those comments are just plain unnerving.

I don't remember ever seeing the picture you have as your avatar in the show. What episode's it from?

Edit: I just remembered. Never mind.

Hey, you know what's lame? I've already forgotten what your old avatar was. Bugs me how fast I forget that stuff.

Youtube has some of the worst comments on the planet. I don't even bother looking at them anymore.

Yeah that episode was great. That is to say, my opinion of that episode is favorable. Other individuals may have a different opinion of that episode, but as I am not one of those other individuals and am myself, my favorable opinion of the episode is the one that I have that is not theirs.

"So once again the day is saved, thanks to Mojo Jojo!"
"Cuurrrrrrrrseeessss!"
"You saved the day!"
"No I didn't!"
"Sure. You gave the girls their ball back!"
"I said I didn't!"
"Ok, ok. Sheesh, talk about a grumpy monkey!"
