Your dream "Collection" for current gen?
Re: Your dream "Collection" for current gen?
I'd kill for a complete Toaplan collection just so I can have Truxton 2 on a console.

Wow, kind of hit or miss for me. Not sure I'd pay much for that collection. And where's the excellent Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land games?prfsnl_gmr wrote:Sorry...I love compilation discs, and I love this topic...Here is another dream collection:

Re: Your dream "Collection" for current gen?
I think that the best compilations are a little hit or miss. You get a feel for the developer from both the highs (i.e., R.C. Pro Am, Battletoads, Perfect Dark) and the lows (i.e., Sneaky Snakes).
I did not include the Donkey Kong Country games because those games relate to Nintendo's intellectual property, and it is very unlikely that Nintendo would allow them to appear on a compilation disc. (For this reason, I also did not include the Battletoads / Double Dragon games.) The games listed above are - to the best of my knowledge - entirely Rare's intellectual property and counld conceivably appear on a compilation disc released for all three current generation consoles. (Make it happen, Rare!)

They need to.AznKhmerBoi wrote:You read my mind about Shenmue HDBreetai wrote:Shenmue Collection HD along with... Shenmue 3.
The ideas for a Panzar Dragoon collection and Castlevania collection (including DS titles) are awesome runner-ups.
I dont even want full potential next gen graphics with these, even if they wanted to make Shenmue 3 with dated engine I'd still buy it.Dosen't feel right that it hasn't been made so far.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Re: Your dream "Collection" for current gen?
I said this back in 2010. I got my MGS collection, but not with completely redone graphics.BoringSupreez wrote:My dream collection would be Half-Life: The Green Box. It would have Half-Life, both of it's expansion packs, upgraded to HL2 level graphics and sound quality, Half-Life 2, with all three episodes, Counter-Strike, and TF Classic.
Or Metal Gear Solid Anthology. It would contain MGS: TTS, MGS 2 Substance, MGS 3 Subsistence, including the contents of disc 2, and MGS 4, all upgraded to MGS 4 graphical quality.
My dream collections are now Ratchet & Clank HD, Ace Combat HD, and a Jet Set HD Collection.

You did see the news, right? I'm not exactly sure what it will be, but it is Jet Set of some sort and I would presume in HD.BoringSupreez wrote:Jet Set HD Collection.

Or at least re-release the original game. It goes for far more than it's actually worth on the Saturn.cookie monster wrote:House of the dead collection i would drop kick a baby for that.
