I've always seen it as a bullet point on boxes. Usually on poorly translated cheap electronic crap.GSZX1337 wrote:I've never heard this term used before.Limewater wrote:the7k wrote: It's not video game terminology, and you don't see it as much anymore, but one term that always bugged the heck out of me is "digital quality".

Real-Time battles, Real-Time Strategy, Cut-scenes rendered in real-time, etc etc. Seems like a gimmicky phrase for "It's happening RIGHT NOW".

Re: Overused Video Game Terminology
It came up a lot when, for example, the cable companies were trying to get everyone to "upgrade" to digital cable. Also, the satellite television companies like DirecTV and DishNetwork used it a lot around the same time. Now that I think about it, this was like eight years ago or so. I think it was also used in advertising for digital recording media, but I don't remember for sure.GSZX1337 wrote:I've never heard this term used before.Limewater wrote: It's not video game terminology, and you don't see it as much anymore, but one term that always bugged the heck out of me is "digital quality".

Can you believe some people actually believe Digital Zoom is better.

What? The worst things I ever hear is people mashing the "Spy" command on TF2. You clearly need to play better games with better players. That shit doesn't even make sense.the7k wrote:Oh man - how could I forget some of the most annoying ones I hear almost daily...
