dont worry man, it happens to the best of us.fox099 wrote:Hey everyone,
I havent been on the forums for over a month now, and just thought I would check in. My girlfriend left me two weeks ago for my best friend Mike. This was after we had a fight two weeks before that where she kissed him at a party and we took some time apart to figure out what we wanted and where we are going. Well, it didnt work, and after four years of a healthy, stable relationship she left me for him. Ive been trying to get back into my groove and start a normal lifestyle again, but things that used to bring me happiness, such as video games, going out, etc, just dont do it anymore. I am sure others out there have gone through this sort of thing before, but does anyone have any input? It is easy some days, but others it is really really hard...

I definitely didn't interpret it like some of the others. I was wondering what all the fuss was about.reina wrote:Well obviously I must've said something weird there and I'm getting the feeling some dirty minded people would misinterprete it. So, whatever it is you thought, I didn't mean it like that.
I have two daughters (9 & 6). Up until now, they have shown no interest in the Zelda games. Mainly because the protagonist is a boy, not a girl. Just recently, they got engrossed watching me play Zelda: Oracle of Ages that they wanted to play it themselves. My oldest one enjoy the puzzle aspect of the game. I'll probably put the game on their DS for them to play. They've been mostly interested in the Pokemon games unlike most of the girls in their class who like Hannah Montana or Webkinz.
In any case, it's good to have you on the board. Hope you find/participate in some good discussions.

I assure you that you did not say anything weird at all. The humor was based solely on context external to your post.reina wrote:Well obviously I must've said something weird there and I'm getting the feeling some dirty minded people would misinterprete it. Well, it was kind of weird. I still don't know what it means to "find oneself".

Puzzle games are a good way to start videogameing and maybe you can prove my theory, that kids tend to grow up smarter when they play puzzles from a young age.
I actually find it a little hard to participate in the forums because of time difference (I'm on eastern europe time) so I'm already asleep when the forum is really active.
Thanks but maybe some other time, on a relevant thread.Ack wrote: Please, don't let that ever stop you. It certainly hasn't stopped any of us.

What is this "relevant thread" you speak of?reina wrote: Thanks but maybe some other time, on a relevant thread.

A thread along the lines 'how did you realise you are a gamer?' or 'what was your first video game?' I guess.Luke wrote:What is this "relevant thread" you speak of?reina wrote: Thanks but maybe some other time, on a relevant thread.

Don't give them any ideas for more threads....reina wrote: A thread along the lines 'how did you realise you are a gamer?' or 'what was your first video game?' I guess.

I kind of thought you might be European. I didn't want to ask what country you're from, though, because asking a girl where she lives on the internet is pretty creepy.reina wrote: I actually find it a little hard to participate in the forums because of time difference (I'm on eastern europe time) so I'm already asleep when the forum is really active.

Why would it be creepy to ask someone which country they live in???Limewater wrote:I kind of thought you might be European. I didn't want to ask what country you're from, though, because asking a girl where she lives on the internet is pretty creepy.
