Shrine of Storms has one of the best leveling parts of the game. After beating the first boss (who is super easy to beat, no matter your stats) what you can do is spawn at his Archstone, kill a few dudes, then snipe the reaper at the bottom. Use the ring that makes it harder to see you. Then turn around and jump off the cliff to kill yourself to speed things up. When you respawn, repeat (pick up your souls from the bloodstain before you kill yourself again).

To add to that, when you get to the last area with all the flying mantas you can use the sword of storms (i think that is what it's called) to cut them down or use a bow with whatever soul boosting items you have. Then you jump off the cliff into the water, return to archstone, pick up body, and do it over again. So far it's the fastest way to level up after the reaper.

Yeah, I'm aware of this, but even though I'm at level 51, it has all gone on endurance or whatever, so I can't farm level four yet - not strong enough and can't use decent weapons. I'm using Ring of Herculean strength already and still need this to roll with the knight armour. Started again as a royal and have to say that i'd forgotten how impressive the first 2 boletarian palace levels were.

So the other thing is that midway through the game I stopped wearing heavy armor (rolled a Templar) and just got used to blocking with my 100% shield and dodging.

Good news everyone. The servers were going to be shut down next week but atlus just tweeted that they are going to remain on indefinitely. Woohoo. If anyone is interested in some coop pm me because I really want to go through the game with someone else. I kind of get the feeling atlus is just saying they are going to shut down the servers to get more people to go out and get the game.

Yes! I can go back to slacking on this game. I need a break anyways. I was kind of expecting this to happen anyways; Demon's Souls is a bit too important to shut down. I know it's the reason I originally bought a PS3, and I'm sure many others too.
