Quite interesting is that only recently I was made aware of the fact that the Famicom 3-D glasses work quite flawlessly on the Master System and actually are capable of a brighter and clearer image than the Sega version.
You just taught me about the Famicom 3-D glasses, thanks!

It's literally a drop in the ocean, as you're probably aware of.
There are serious collections out there that make ours seem quite irrelevant. But the main thing is that our collections are relevant to us because we have fun and enjoy our purchases and were not in competition with anyone else.
Great advice and the truth!

So only a couple days ago I received my package with some atari stuff.
Atari 2600 four switch woody with a bunch of 2600 games, the arcadia starpath supercharger with five games, and the seller also included a cassette tape deck to go with the supercharger.
There's also what looks like an (official?) Atari storage case unit. There's another couple dozen 2600 games in that storage case.

So all in all not a bad haul and I'm glad to finally own my very first genuine Atari 2600.
Also, the Supercharger games are quite fun and the plus for me is that they don't have those crazy load times like say the Commodore 64.

Wow Thierry Henry you have a lot of different consoles. Very impressed. You know how many more you want to acquire?

There are a few that I'm still looking to get.
And since I'm not too fussed whether the system is boxed or not, I reckon I should be able to find the one's I'm looking for at a (relatively-ish Image ) manageable price.

Top of the list would be:
-Apple Bandai Pippin
-Fujitsu FM Towns Marty (Model 2)
-TurboGrafx 16 CD attachment
-Commodore Amiga CD32
-Amstrad GX4000
-Super Famicom
-Atari 5200
Of the modern stuff, just the two handhelds- DSi LL and the PSP Go.

I'd have also put an Intellivision II on that list but I just managed to score a mint looking one together with an Intellivoice module, an Atari System Changer add-on unit and 28 CIB games. So I'll be posting that up here as soon as I receive it.

I've also got my eye on a Pioneer LaserActive. But I would presume that the total cost incl shipping to South Africa would be absolutely astronomical for one of those. So that's definately on the backburner, for now at least.

Other minor stuff would probably be a Majesco version Game Gear unit and possibly also one of those portable SNES units- the FC 16 Go.

I hope to god that you don't want the game gear because it is valuable.
I had the majesco gamegear as a kid and i destroyed it over the course of 10 years :(

edit: and there was a second model of the FM towns marty??

Nothing to do with value as such.
Just a minor point that it's got a slightly(very slightly  ) better screen than the original. I'm not into modding my stuff so that would be good enough for me.

The variant I'm referring to is the one with the darker grey coloured shell. I just fancy the color, that's all.
AFAIK, there were no substantial (or any at all?) improvements made from the original to the one released in '94.

honestly, you should be happy getting any kind of FM towns marty.

And, I never actually compared the OG gamegear and the Majesco Gamegear's screens, but It might not be worth it to you because the TV tuner doesn't work on the Majesco unit. Also, I had trouble using a AC adapter for it, because the power would flicker on and off, resetting the game.

Yeah ok, but I mean there's no significant price differential between the two, well at least not in the few auctions that I've kept tabs on thus far, so why not go for the one I prefer. :)

I don't see me using the TV tuner at all, so that's a non-issue. I mean I have the TV tuner accessory for the Turbo Express, it's nice to have but I've never made use of it.

And I'm not aware of any AC adapter issues with the Majesco version, but then again it's a portable system, and battery life notwithstanding, I kinda intend using it that way.
