Every Mario Game with the number 2 in the name seems to be perfection.

Also, is there much King of Fighters love around here?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I love KOF. I suck at it, but I love it.

I dig KoF. I have an assortment of games on MVS/NGCD/NGPC.... But I'm also not great at them. I will pop one in occasionally for some enjoyment but I've never actually finished one. I think I've reached the conclusion that I'm simply not willing to invest the time to become "good" at fighting games (same goes for shmups).

Yeah most of the "trivia" games are questionable. I do enjoy no. 1 some though, and it gets props for being the first game cartridge ever (I think?).

This. I'm patently terrible at the game, but I own all ten iterations on my Neo and adore each and every one.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I am trying to actually be 'good' at KoF '94 right now. The game has held up way better than SF II Turbo but is also insanely hard all the same.

I'm more of a Tekken/MvC man, myself.

If I had the keys to the car I would release a Tekken vs. Street Fighter game that includes both of their unique styles, especially in graphics.

Stick with me here...

The graphics of the game change with the health meter of your opponent. The lower the meter, the more you take the shape of the other game. So if Jin was fighting Ryu, they would both start out looking like their original character, but the more Jin hits Ryu, the more Ryu would have a more Tekken look to it, and vice versa. The more damage you take, the more you are "drawn" into the other series.

Speaking Fighters, the reason I bought the 4-way for the PS2 was to play a silly Wu-Tang fighting game.

KoF XI is the only one I have ever loved without reservations. It is one of the very best fighting games, and I love it. (I spent a lot of time with it, and I am only OK at it, however.)

I love Namco. And I love old (proto-)RPGs. But holy crap are The Tower of Druaga and Dragon Buster an absolute chore to play.
