for realsies?

I mean, I guess that makes sense. But I'm confused why it doesn't work w/ BPM then. And it seems like all the threads I can find about arcade sticks not working with BPM is because they are dinput.

The weird thing is that in Device Manager, Windows calls this stick a 360 controller. So it *should* work... in my mind. But when BPM launches it doesn't even SEE this stick. Like, if I try to manually configure the buttons, BPM is like "what controller?"

So weird...

I'll have to do some experiments with my arcade sticks at home, I've got a 360 and a PS3 one so I can test both DInput and XInput. Although it's basketball time, so I'm not sure when I'd get to it. Maybe sometime later this weekend.

which specific sticks do you have?

It would be really helpful for me if you could just launch Big Pic Mode and just confirm if either actually work 'out the box.'

awesome, thanks for the help man.

I don't think my issue is uncommon: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/f ... 479100260/

Also, I think the VX is the smaller 360 stick I was referring too that had a DOA4 version. I really like that stick, so if it does work w/ BPM I'll plan to get one (or two) of those.

My Hori Fighting Stick EX2 (For Xbox 360) works out of the box for BPM.

AH! That appears to be the DOA4 stick. I like those.

And so you're certain that it handles the BPM UI itself with no issues?

I may just have to get my hands on one (or two) and save myself some headache.

95% sure as I was using BPM when playing SFV on my TV, I will plug it in now and double check for you.

Right, I remember what I did now!

By default if you assign the left stick any value (which it needs left stick X and Y axis in order to save a controller profile) the cursor goes ape shit, always scrolling ,etc. What I did was I assigned the D-Pad to the arcade stick, then use the LB and RB on my arcade stick as the values for the X and Y axis of the "Left Analog", thus it has all the buttons assigned it wants and I can navigate without any issues what so ever.

It works "out of the box" with navigating throughout the BPM, etc, you just need to open the settings tab and run the "add/edit controller" option. The only button that would not assign for me was the "Home" button. No idea why, but you can assign in to the BACK button or something just fine.

friggin' genius!

I managed to get my Hori recognized, followed your instructions and it works now. Thank you!!

Made it to Jitterbug on my first run of Deathsmiles. 8)

EDIT: Well, it was working. Screwed up again. Sigh.

I might just skip BPM. I'll leave a trackball plugged in to navigate Steam library and just be done with it. :?
