1/3: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)
1/10: Assassin's Creed II (PS3)
3/10: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
3/12: Samurai Warriors 2: Xtreme Legends (PS2)
7/11: Um Jammer Lammy (PS1)
7/12: NFL Blitz (PS1)
7/22: Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
7/23: Zone of the Enders (PS2)

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. The setting and the weapons were interesting, and the combat was fun. It was shorter than I expected, though; I finished it in under six hours. I'd give it an 8/10.

Next up: Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
Consoles: NES, SNES, DC, PS2, PSP, PS3, 3DS, PS4.

ZOE is great fun, and I am in the minority that prefers it to the sequel (though both are worth checking out).

Yeah, I've always heard that the sequel is the better game. Why did you prefer the first game to the second one?

Resident Evil (Remake) for Gamecube
Image

Absolutely awesome game! I went into this expecting the same game with polished modern graphics and a few new gameplay modes. Instead I got an entirely new game with tons of new stuff added to it. And the lighting effects were the best I've ever seen in a game, current-gen games included. The game made me tense while playing, like when I first played RE games back in the day on my PS1. Great gaming experience.

I can't wait to see what Resident Evil: Zero has in store for me now!

REZero isn't anywhere near as good, but it's worth noting that the graphics look even BETTER if you can believe it.

Thoughts on the Game(s)

A really fun, short RPG, I enjoyed it quite a bit, very simple and straight forward, it can be repetitive with most of the game, which went for around 4 hours, taking place between 2 locations with you having to backtrack and go to the same 2 locations over and over again.

The jokes in the game didn't make me laugh, but its odd enough to enjoy. It's a shame the episodes for such a high price because I am sure if they sold it for a lower price it would have been really successful. Shame only 2 of the 4 episodes got released.

These were like $1.80 for both during the Steam summer sale.

1/15 Dynamite Cop (DC)
2/4 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (PS3)
5/19 Portal 2 - Single Player (PS3)
5/22 Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished (PSP)
6/5 Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Reverie (PS3)
6/28 Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X (PSP)
7/17 Golden Axe (PSN)
7/22 Red Dead Redemption (PS3)

I loved RDR a lot. I think it works way better for me than GTA ever did, although I did like GTA IV a lot. Basically GTA with cowboys and horses, but the stranger quests and main storyline seemed way more compelling to me. Writing and voice acting top-notch. Can't wait for a sequel in this universe.

I literally popped this game in the moment I got back from the mail box and played, and played and played. There is just something about MSHvSF that has always clicked with me. Maybe it's the robotic Akuma. Maybe it's the 12 different shoto characters. I dunno - it's good times. Probably the peak of the Marvel vs series for me. Even the sequel, the original Marvel vs Capcom didn't quite match this one for fun.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
