I'm glad a PS3 version isn't being released, seeing Bethesda's poor record on PS3 games. And while it would have been nice to see 4 on 360, at least this way they can go as far with it as they can currently push things.

Same here, that fallout 3 port on PS3 was awful. Didnt' play a lot of new vegas on PS3 but since each time you wanted to talk to an NPC it took a 3 second load i can speculate that is awful as well. And i only read nightmarish stuff on Skyrim.

Plus, don't freak out over listed requirements until you see how it actually runs on your current machine. The requirements could be (like most PC games) absolute nonsense.

And it better be prefix notation. Wasting enough memory.

Plus there is the fact that it will probably run like shit for the first few weeks anyways :P. FNV was pretty insanely broken on my PC right after release basically loaded it up played 30 minutes and then put it away for about a month because the frame rate was sticking around 10 regardless of settings, it failed to load many textures properly, and I would crash if I got around 1/2 a mile from the starting area.

I think your best frame of reference is looking back at how Fallout 3, Skyrim, and Oblivion ran at launch. New Vegas was by Obsidian, and the game suffered from some deadlines, I believe.

Well I would say pretty much any open world game on PC is going to run like ass for the first month unless you are running a similar rig to what they tested on just to much shit that can go wrong and there are so many hardware variations that there is no real way to test it all. Hell there are still a lot of broken things in the previous Fallout and Elder Scrolls games it's just the majority of the major bugs have been fixed.
