I have a beard and hate the way my hair looks. I don't think I've had "good" hair since I was 19 or so.

This. I can grow a pretty good beard, but my hair is a curly clusterfuck on top of my head that takes way too much effort to do anything decent with it.

My problem is just that I'm balding. In the worst way possible. I have to keep my hair short, but it's hard to find a length that suits me. If it's too short or shaved I just look like a doofus and my ears stick out too much. If it gets too long then I look clownish with hair growing out the sides but not enough up top. I'd say that after I go to the barber I look decent for about 2 weeks before it all goes to hell.

My beard is pretty decent though and I have one most of the time.

No, no skullets.

What I meant by that was that you could use it to pull off hairstyles you might not be able to otherwise because you can use it to affect face shape. I've never been able to do short hair, and probably still wouldn't be able to with a beard, because I have a freaking huge forehead. So far though, I have yet to see proof I would do that much better with long hair, so I'm just in a limbo of the awkward ass growing it out stage.
