It's for a commodore64. Has chroma/luma or composite. Great for retro!BoneSnapDeez wrote:Whoa... what is that monitor?JEKKI wrote:dug into my backlog, found the next game I'm gonna play;

That's what I thought!
A few months ago I was offered one (for free) from a Craigslist guy but I forgot to pick it up. I feel like a n00b.

Ribbit King (GC)
I had no idea this game existed, but yesterday I picked it up for a buck and change and I am a huge fan. It's one of the weirdest, funnest, uniquest games I've played in a long time.

I've had this on the PS2 for years. I don't know if I'd necessarily call it a gem, but it's so weird I kind of like showing it to people just so they think I'm mentally unsound. Pretty fun game, until the novelty wears off at least.Luke wrote:Ribbit King (GC)

I enjoy the fact that it is so unique. And weird, but still fun and entertaining.

Re: What are you playing?
I decided that I should probably play through my Shin Megami Tensei backlog, so I've been playing Devil Survivor Overclocked.

Arpuhguh? Fffpiss? Bah!
"Shmup" is far more elegant!
Re: What are you playing?
Yeah. That's the reaction I was starting to get starting around chapter 4. I breezed through and really enjoyed the first 3 chapters, and I know the first chapter had shooting, but it was short, so I didn't think anything about it. But by the middle of chapter 4 I started to think, "I think they snuck a shooter into my adventure game."Gamerforlife wrote:You can expect a lot of shooting in the sequels too. That's mostly what they are. I can see how someone would be surprised. If one goes into the Uncharted series expecting something like the Tomb Raider series it can be quite a shock, as the Uncharted games are just third person shooters at heart. It's one of the reasons I don't like them muchMichi wrote:I'm having mixed feelings playing Uncharted. Part of it is my fault, as I didn't do my research.
I'm enjoying the platforming and what little exploration I get to do, but the game isn't what I was expecting. There is a lot more shooting in this game than I initially thought, and I'm not really too fond of most shooters (mostly because I tend to suck at them.) Granted, it is satisfying to clear out those large rooms of enemies, but you can only die so many times before all the fun gets sucked out of it.
Also not really digging the jet-ski sequences. I did really enjoy the jeep one, though.
I'm enjoying this a little more now that I know what it is, but I was really irked by it initially.

Re: What are you playing?
Just picked up Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. Not entirely sure how I like it so far
Re: What are you playing?
Currently playing The Bard's Tale on PS2 along with Lure of the Temptress on PC.
I'm enjoying the humor of The Bard's Tale, as the level of snark about generic RPG mechanics and plot twists is perfect. As for Lure of the Temptress...I know in it's day it was considered highly, but Beneath a Steel Sky did a much better job handling interaction with NPCs going about their daily business. I'm tired of having to wait ten minutes to open a door because I'm too busy trying to avoid bumping into everyone.
