Someone donated a bunch of PC games to my Goodwill today. He must have been a collector, because the games were all high-quality, CIB, scratch-free, and original large-box releases. Stuff like Battlefield 1942, Everquest, Half-Life Platinum Collection Second Edition, Diablo Battlechest, etc. I got Jade Empire Special Edition and Company of Heroes, both minty and $6 a piece.

Excellent, excellent game. Hit me up if you wanna destroy some Nazi bots together.

My Craigslist score today:

I swear I'm getting a new phone in the next few weeks, and you'll never have to see these nasty grainy photos again. All of this was $21.50 off craigslist. Deadly Alliance doesn't have a manual, but whatever.

You've got your work cut out for you in FFXII. Awesome dungeon crawling, though. That is such a great find.

During the summer I found FFXII CIB in perfect condition at a garage sale for $1. It's a lucky game.

I would, except my internet isn't capable of online gaming (that's why I passed up Battlefield 1942). I'm sure I'll enjoy the single player, though.

Yeah, their prices do tend to range from either ridiculously over-priced to super steal. I'm actually convinced that they re-price their games every few weeks or so. Because one week, I'll walk in one of their stores and want to grab everything off the shelf and put it in my basket cause they're all dirt cheap. Then a few weeks later, I'll visit that same store and be totally disgusted by their prices and come out empty handed.

There's a game store I go to that's sort of like that. Take Mega Man X for SNES, as an example. They wanted $10, seemed fair, and I took it. A few weeks later, someone traded it in and they had it in stock once more. Except this time it's $20. It's fairly standard practice... they sell a game, and then they charge more for it next time. Once in a while they'll realize sales are slowing and lower prices, but not too often.
