Great fucking movie, with so many great quotes
"Scary German guy is bitchin"
"All your sister does all day is let guys touch her tits"
"How does that dog get up here anyway?"
"He wears pants to cover his wolf dork"
And of course....
"Wolfman has nards"

. I waited forever for it to come out on DVD, I pretty much wore out the VHS copy.

Saw the new Michael Moore documentary "Capitalism: A Love Story" today.

Thought it was brilliantly done. His best work since Bowling For Columbine
"Welcome to the circus of values!"

Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

Saw it, and LOVED IT!

Perfect companion to "The Gate".

Now I have yet another candidate for the Thanksgiving feature. Wait... do I even do that, or am I confusing it with the Christmas feature?

Actually, I can. In fact, there's probably only time for one. Despite that the get-together will last 4 hours max, it'll take some time to talk everyone into watching a movie. And personally, I wanna try to avoid the scenario that played out when I tried to show "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". If you've ever seen the movie, what weirded out my aunt is the scene where Hansel meets Luther.

And to date, since I screened "Hairspray" ('07) at Christmas 2007, the only other film I've screened from beginning to end was "Phantom of the Paradise", and no one even paid attention. Apparently, despite the fact that people have telephones, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and blogging, people use family get-togethers as a time to just talk about random stuff. I mean, I hardly ever get to see certain family members (my mom's Aunt Karen and her family) and in lieu of screening some obscure piece of cinema, they end up talking for hours and do nothing fun.

Just watched Lost in Space for the first time and it was WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than what I expected when I picked it up at goodwill today.

PS: VHS is the ONLY way to watch movies. Fuck dvd and super fuck blu ray. Laser disc is ok though.

I can't think of a single way that vhs is superior to dvd. Outside of the fact that you can buy crappy movies from goodwill for 50 cents.

Well there is the substantial feel and weight of the tape that I like. I suppose it reminds me of the difference between a cartridge based game console and all the optical ones of today. Tapes hardly ever get scratched up either.

Watched Away We Go for the second time tonight. It is such a great movie. It is one of those movies that really has heart and isn't just pretending to have it. In the same class as Beautiful Girls and The Brothers McMullen.
