I already patented the name "Dreamclub" haha.

But yeah, just one thread that I'll change the OP as games change.

@Blu: I think I wanna try to keep it one game at a time. So if we wanna start w/ Star Wars Racer that's cool. A few of us have it, a few want it and surely can nab it within a week's time?

So... will it be fun enough to just compete on the one track? Should we post best times from all 8? (Are there only 8 in Normal Mode? I haven't cleared 7 yet, so it only shows 8 for me...) If we did it that way, then we'd basically all be trying to get the best time on each of the 8 tracks which might be kind of fun, as it will give everyone a chance to mess around w/ each track or try to focus on a particular one they like a lot?
I am IN!!!! My game is loaded up...my body is ready! Time to get some practice in ahead of time!

"my body is ready."

This is the best thing i've read all-day. Granted, I haven't read much, but I think this might hold up for awhile.

Wait, check that, there was one better. I take no credit for this, this is all noise in a hypothetical post in the "do you use a screen protector on your 3DS" thread:
I usually start with one on, but take it off halfway through as it just doesn't seem as good.

hahaha thanks Mike. Glad it got posted somehow, somewhere.

@Ferret: Yeah I've played some DC games via VGA that I felt like looked good enough to have been PS3/360 (or at least PSN/XBLA) releases. Really amazing stuff.

@Bogus: Word, I'm gonna set up the new Dreamclub thread tonight or tomorrow night - so def get prepared to race some Pods.

Oh, oh and that crazy bastard Blu got me to attempt a run at Dark Falz in hard mode on PSO last night. Insane. I died - what, Blu? 6 or 7 times on him? His third form literally 1-hit killed me like 3 times in less than a minute. Unreal.

The hard mode stuff is seriously hard for me, and I'd have no chance if I didn't have Blu basically just covering me, healing me and reviving me the whole time. But it's def helping me level up!

I downloaded the enhancement pack that Aleron Ives made for PSO Palace's server, Altimira. There's some legit updates that I am discovering. I burned it with Imgburn today. It is also seemingly not grinding my DC's lens as much as the GD-rom. So far I'm impressed. There's some new quests that I've found super cool!

We'll have to play a little bit more, there's a cool quest we could hit up if you'd like. Did you give Central Dome Fire Swirl a shot yet Noise?

And yes, let's do some Dreamcast Challenges!

I agree, let's do all 8 tracks. You can't upgrade your pod either, as that skews it all and makes it inconsistent and unfair.

NBA on NBC is a legit NBA Jam clone, in case anyone was wondering. It's fantastic.

So you use that instead of a GDROM? It will still load my same character? Does that mean it only works for Altimira though?

Will probably check it out over the weekend.

Yeah that will def be a rule. No upgrades. All defaults.

Cool, cool. We'll keep it in mind for a future one. :D

Yep, it works and patches all the way through without a boot disc. Pretty nice and works on all ships. Ultimate difficulty is impossibly difficult, and you can revert back and forth to discs and it won't affect your character. I'd say you don't have to fuss with it though -- a lot of the changes are in Ultimate difficulty and even my RAmar at the moment isn't ready for it. One of the best changes that does exist, are some buffed stats and you don't drop your weapon when you die. Which is nice.

I'll be going with Indiana Pacers and LA Lakers for NBA on NBC.

I think my Dreamcast may be showing signs of problems. Cannonspike is giving me these strange artifacts. It's really weird because I don't have this problem with any other game.

I've checked the disc for signs of problems as well and it doesn't have scratches or blemishes on it. I gently cleaned it again to be sure and it didn't resolve the problem.

I'm assuming the GPU is failing since they usually start with strange problems like this. I remember my 360 did the same thing way back.

Any ideas and has anyone seen this before with Dreamcast?

modded DC finally came back in yesterday, time to finally enjoy my haul from weeks ago! works awesome too, anyone interested in having their VGA box modded for RGB option, there's a guy at SHMUPs forum who does tight work.

@ferret - do you have a second DC you can try the disc on?

Here's my haul from today, much of it from the homey Flake:
