I'm working still on Disgaea, slowly but surely and now that I have finished another game (Spec Ops: The Line), I am moving on to Yakuza on the PS2. For those that say that it is a good alternative to Shenmue...eh...not really. Is it fun? Yes. Is it like Shenmue? No...is it trying to be? Not really. I will see though! Enjoying it so far!

I'm having mixed feelings playing Uncharted. Part of it is my fault, as I didn't do my research.
I'm enjoying the platforming and what little exploration I get to do, but the game isn't what I was expecting. There is a lot more shooting in this game than I initially thought, and I'm not really too fond of most shooters (mostly because I tend to suck at them.) Granted, it is satisfying to clear out those large rooms of enemies, but you can only die so many times before all the fun gets sucked out of it.
Also not really digging the jet-ski sequences. I did really enjoy the jeep one, though.

FYI, the first game is more difficult and frustrating than the sequels.

Is it? That's reassuring.
I mean, I'm getting through about 3-4 chapters per sitting, but a lot of that time so far has been relegated to replaying certain sequences because I keep dying. I know death is normal in games, but there are so many of those shooting stages that every time one of them pops up I'm starting to feel like Drake, "Are you kidding me?"

You can expect a lot of shooting in the sequels too. That's mostly what they are. I can see how someone would be surprised. If one goes into the Uncharted series expecting something like the Tomb Raider series it can be quite a shock, as the Uncharted games are just third person shooters at heart. It's one of the reasons I don't like them much

Seriously. Screw you Shao Kahn I'm gonna play Animal Crossing.
Tried the demo's for Killzone 2 and 3... the FOV is awful, and 2 just felt all kinds of bad. 3 was alright though, might have to check that one out sometime.
Played some Hotline Miami, but gave up on the level. I wanted to play something else but I couldn't find a game I wanted to play.
I need more in my backlog of games. I have plenty, but they aren't games i always want to play(Legend of Zelda, other time consuming games), I want to play a new sandbox game, no GTA or Saints Row, I am allowed to play Just Cause though (dictator ship, not normal cops). Can't play GTA cause of my dad being a cop.
