Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hello, my user name is Phyeir, been gaming for as long as I can remember (seriously, my first memory is of playing Pac-Man on an Atari 2600) and have been looking for a new site to hang out and talk consoles. Was over at GameSpot a couple years ago, but got totally sick of all of the buggery over there, been on Neo-Geo.com for a while (still there a good amount) and a couple other random places, hoping this places sticks for a while.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
I have been posting here for a while - and lurking for much longer than that - but I have recently decided to make Racketboy my "home" forum for all video game related topics. I think the forums here are well organized and well managed, and I think that the moderators do a very good job maintaining a friendly, mature community.
A little about myself and my collection...I am a thirty-year-old attorney, living and practicing in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been married for four years, and I am the proud father of a one-year-old daughter. I have collected video games on and off for the past twelve years or so, but I have only seriously collected games since my wife and I moved to Charlotte four years ago. My NES games are the cornerstone of my collection, and I am attempting to collect a complete set of all widely-available cartridges (i.e., everything except 6-in-1, Stadium Events, Cheetahmen II, and the Panesian trilogy). I also collect games for the SNES, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, XBox, Master System, Genesis, and Saturn (my brother has the Dreamcast).
In the coming weeks, I hope to catgalogue my collection and post pictures of it here. I also hope to post a trade list, a want list, and a continuing topic about my quest to complete every game ever mentioned in the "Best Video Games of All Time" lists that appeared in issues 100, 150, and 200 of Electronic Gaming Monthly. I also hope to add a handful North Carolina video game stores to the retro game store locator.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for maintaining such a nice, interesting forum, and I look forward to engaging in many interesting discussions in the coming months and years.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey everyone!!
I'm a high school student, who has been interested in classic gaming for quite some time. Most of my gaming is spent on my N64, Dreamcast, Saturn, and GBA SP. Almost all of my current gen-gaming is done on my PSP, along with downloaded "PSOne Classics."
I guess you could say that I was brought up into classic gaming. My first time playing video games was when my dad let me play Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES at age 4. (I guess that wasn't exactly retro at the time, but I digress. ^_^) Fighting streets has been in my blood ever since, even though today, I am not very good at it.
My Japanese Saturn recently came in the mail, along with a copy of the Twin Bee Deluxe Pack, Christmas NiGHTS, both Virtua Cops, and a few other gems I can't remember off hand. So far, I can definitely put Twin Bee as a high recommendation.

Hi Everybody.
Hellooo,
I have been into video games since the age of 5. My main focus is early sega software. I have the complete SMS collection CIB Euro, Pal & NTSC only missing 21 Tec toy titles from Brazil. Most recently been collecting promo & not for resale 360 titles. Heard about Racketboy on several other forums and hope to be a regular contributor.

Re: Hi Everybody.
Welcome aboard. Wow, this place is becoming a haven for Aussie gamers. Care to share some pics of your Master system collection.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Hello,
I am a hardcore SNES player, as well as the co-founder of Retro Dimension, a retro gaming site. I also like to work on my own indie games using RPG Maker 2000/2003.
I must say, I am glad I found this site!
