So what have you guys been watching lately?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

If it is after 10pm and my tv is on, I'm certainly not watching adult swim (well, I'll catch Nathan's pilots). lcd of "comedy" that nonsense has become.

My dad showed me an episode of the old black & white movie serial "Captain Video and his Video Rangers". About as cheesy as it can possibly get. But that kind of gave it a likable charm that made it bearable to watch:

Whenever the aliens (the guys in leather armor and helmets) showed up, the camera had a red tint, because of course they were in a different atmosphere on a different planet.

The scenes with the rocket in it, were hand-drawn animation, lol. And every line was given with the emotional impact of this guy from the Dry Eyes commercials:

Obviously not, or I would have said it.

Here's info on Ben, you may have also seen him in Ferris Bueller or various inane "documentaries": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Stein

Out of everything Bill Stein has done, someone refers to him as the "Clear Eyes Guy".

Not "that presidential speech writer guy" or "that guy from Ferris Bueller" but "that clear eyes guy".

It's Sunday, so I'll be watching one of my favorite hours of television, ESPN's Outside the Lines and The Sports Reporters. Both shows are about sports, but they aren't. They focus more on the life stories involved in sports, and integrity in sports journalism. "OTL" can be a real jerker sometimes, but luckily the sports reporters bring a lot of wit and comedy tp the table.

Funny thing about Ben Stein. I can't remember where I read this, but he's apparently not as extreme as he appears to be, he only acts like it to get a reaction. He's just trolling. He often appears on CBS Sunday Morning and lately, his op-ed pieces have been much more reasonable and I actually find myself agreeing with him sometimes (which used to never happen), so I guess he decided to knock it off.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

He's acting - playing a role. That should be obvious. That's not "trolling".

Outside of playing a character though, he was a Nixon confidant and has a fairly divisive record on political commentary. That Wikipedia link includes some of his "greatest hits" on issues such as rape and evolution that have made me discount much of what he says anymore, but on the other hand it also mentions his views on homosexuality and on taxes, both of which I personally find more resonant.
